2 days ago, the Apartment Complex went door to door looking for Unregistered pets (Pet Policy Here) and they found about 20 Apartments with illegal Pets (99% were Pit Bulls).

These Pit Bulls seem nice but always get into fights with each other and occasionally snap at a passerby on the veranda.

They will all be removed by week's end or the Owners will be evicted.

I am a Dog Guy, I love pets, and have worked with all kinds of dogs back in the early 1980's when I worked at a Country-Veterinarians Practice for 3 years.

These Pet owners allow their dogs to walk 10 feet in front of them on long leashes in a small hallway or 4 foot wide veranda when passing by people.

This is usually when the dogs growl and snap at passerby's.

THIS THREAD ACTUALLY MAKES ME WANT A PITBULL NOW.

Yes I've been around a few, they were known to kill animals.

The one down the street killed the cat that lived in the same house with it and another dog.

The 2 behind me the lady has kept locked in their own pen since she got chickens. I can only guess they were going after the chicken. Heard it also was fighting with a Husky.

They have the highest tendency for random violent outbursts.

They have the highest incidences of random psychotic breaks that end up in violence.

I've seen a lot of security camera footage on gore sites where they simply snap (completely unprovoked and not threatened) and go for the kill and just dont stop. The worst video I saw was a family's pitty who was sleeping and the dog just leaps up from sleep, lunges at a kid sitting on the couch watching TV and grabs him by the neck and just shakes him tearing his arteries.

There's lot of videos from all around the world of pitbulls on gore sites. They all show the dogs are unpredictable and very prone to random violent attacks.

Well if they keep them in a cage can you imagine that poor dogs life. This is what I mean. people who can't take care of a pittie shouldn't own one. They need attention. I try and carry when in my back yard just in case one of those demons gets through the fence I have up there. It's a think fence. yesterday one ran up against it while I was walking in my yard.

It used to roam around and they still let them out.

I fell more for me having to put up with them.

I was standing in my front yard wiping some dust off a box. My neighbor’s pit bull, Lilly, was sitting in her front yard, she was fixated on me. Lilly was thinking: the owner is not home, I am going to kill this guy, I am going to tear him to pieces. I looked up and I saw the charge had started. The dog was growling with anger. I held the box in front of me hoping the dog would bite it instead of me. The dog was closing in fast and running at full speed. I yelled “Back, Get Back!”. Fortunately, Lilly was tethered to a rope so she went up into the air and came to a sudden stop. The dog then walked back to her house as if nothing happened. Lilly did not seem to be injured at all. Pit Bulls make up only 6% of the dog population but they’re responsible for 68% of dog attacks.

Raised a nile monitor for a few years too. Its a dragon not a lizard. Its a meat eater only. I had some folks at the house for a party, among one of them was a female veterinarian who kept insisting on picking it up and holding it, which i do daily because the dragon is familiar with me and i feed it.
I told her to forget about holding it like i do because he is familiar with me. She was one of those alpha females with her sleeve rolled up with a pack of cigs in her t shirt.
She just kept insisting to let her, because she handles all kinds of lizards and other reptiles.
So i said ok go ahead. It bit her in the bicep and dug all four feet with claws like a falcons talons into her forearm, it was literally locked on her forearm like a bracelet and would not let go. She was crying and legs shaking the whole time i was removing my pet from her arm.

Its people who make bad pet owners and bad choices dont blame the animal for behaving naturally or instinctively. It helps if your smarter than the pet.
