Dr Tobin has made some good points, but this is now becoming redundant. I think he's also getting in over his head with some of this and running in circles.

this is a good point. even if his airway was completely blocked, how would Chauvin be responisble for murder or manslaughter if that is the training he was given? That is the problem with the way this case was framed. We are going around in circles and ignoring the real issues which are:

overall police procedure

the prosecutions strategy now must be to keep Nelson away from the mic... with such a weak case, that is probably their best strategy

What are the chances that Saint Floyd has had women heavier than Chauven sitting on his, uhm, neck. Dude still lived to tell about it

I know not apples to apples, but popped in my mind and figured we could use a giggle while this prof drones on...and on...and on.

Ok...it sounds like the prosecution is basing their entire case on this guy. Let's see what the cross shows.

Thanks BBQ for the threads...I'm in Georgia...what's the best place for some pulled pork sandwiches.

I am afraid this Dr has already gone too far and over assumed his knowledge. the following is section 9 from St George's autopsy toxicology report. and if they show this it plays almost exactly to the time Floyd was restrained from beginning to end, so you make your own decision on this.

Fentanyl (Duragesic®; Sublimaze®) - Hospital Blood:
Fentanyl is a DEA Schedule II synthetic morphine substitute anesthetic/analgesic. It is reported to be 80 to 200
times as potent as morphine and has a rapid onset of action as well as addictive properties.
It is reported that patients lost consciousness at mean plasma levels of fentanyl of 34 ng/mL when infused with
75 mcg/Kg over a 15 min period; peak plasma levels averaged 50 ng/mL.

After application of a fentanyl transdermal preparation (patch), serum fentanyl concentrations are reported to
be in the following ranges within 24 hours:
25 mcg/hour patch: 0.3 - 1.2 ng/mL
50 mcg/hour patch: 0.6 - 1.8 ng/mL
75 mcg/hour patch: 1.1 - 2.6 ng/mL
100 mcg/hour patch: 1.9 - 3.8 ng/mL

I think for sure they are going to try and get some riots in before the verdict, just in case he is found guilty and they lose their excuse.

Although wouldn't be surprised if there are riots with a guilty verdict anyways.

I am just wondering if all he says is completely true, why don't more people die from sleeping on their stomachs?

I am not discounting the knee on the shoulder/neck, but then again since there was no damage caused due to this, he is saying St George died because he was prone??
 Quoting: 18328

I sleep on my stomach every night. Usually with Mr. LJS's leg across my 110lb body.

Still alive.
 Quoting: Lady Jayne Smith

chuckle

Is that just how he ends up while asleep or is that intentional? How do you sleep like that? My older kid slept with us for months while my wife was pregnant with her little sister, and she ended up like that every night with her legs sprawled out over me. I couldn't sleep that way and ended up on the couch at 2:00 am most nights.
 Quoting: Revbo™

Intentional. We have always slept that way kiss

Yeah.. you just have to sit back and know when its the defense's turn and they show the ENTIRE bodycam footage from the point the officer walks up the George Floyd in the the driver seat (i'm re-watching it now)-- he is already being combative and not listening. He repeatedly says dont shoot me, while he is not listening.. before he is even taken out of the car! Completely combative at 1:50 when hes pulled out... and continues to resist arrest for another 30 second. They sit him down on the street against the building at 2:45.. and a seperate surveillance video you can see a white bag fall out of his back pocket..

FLoyd and the 2 people in the vehicle are questions if he's on something, and the other 2 allude he has mental issues (if so, why drugs found in car?) Floyd continually complains about being pain sitting 20ft from the vehicle (long before he is even put in the police vehicle). about 2-3 ,minutes later he is taken to the police vehicle.

At that point he begins to basically through a tantrum almost like a child. He continued to not listen and struggle with the officers and yelling a screaming like a 3 year old being taken to their room after getting in trouble.

Before he is even placed into the vehicle he begins to say I am claustrophobic (now he was just driving a vehicle 10 minutes earlier that was smaller)..for 20 more seconds he struggles with officers yelling "i'm claustrophobic for real dawg, I'm not that kinda guy man.." over and over. Then he says "i'm gonna die man..".. he hasnt even been placed into the vehicle yet.

He then sits in the vehicle with his legs out, and begins yelling "I dont want to win.. I'm claustrophobic and have anxiety, I'm scared". Officers promise to open up the windows for him. The officers say "look we are trying to work with you," and keeps yelling "but I'm claustrophobic".

They then begin to place him fully into the back seat and yells and screams "I;m not a bad guy, I'm choking and cant breath office".. mind you there are absolutely no restrictions on him. He is just laying on his back on the back seat. He is clearly just overreacting and freaking the fuck out. What does he say next "Lay me on the ground.. please lay me on the ground". He then kicks his way across the back seat and almost slides out of the vehicle on into the middle of the road. 2 officers start to push him back in the vehicle and just keep screaming "i can breathe". The dude has spent at least 5-6 minutes yelling and screaming at the top of his lungs.. id be puking and having an asthma attack on that alone.

He continues to be combative and will not stay in the vehicle. They place him down on the road and starts yelling "momma".. Keeps yelling "I cant breathe", while the officers keep saying "You're talking so you can breathe".. and you know the rest. I think 90% of the people in the US have no idea of the events that led up to this. Ever since I saw the video.. 'This country burned down over this bullshit' is all I keep saying..
