Smock seems like another over eager prosecution witness. He doesn’t seem balanced. He seems to only pay attention to evidence that fits his opinion. He seems to ignore other evidence. He can’t explain all the facts.
 Quoting: Corporal Punishment

Over opinionated too. Watch his tone change during cross examination. Really sick of paid witnesses. I basically have tuned out.
 Quoting: 18328

I’m not sure what jurors think. I would be put off by that. The LAPD witness was actually a fair expert witness.

everyone seems to be missing this point but fentanyl is a sedative.

if he was overdosing he would be falling asleep, not having a panic attack.
 Quoting: ID2268

He was on meth too along with 5 other drugs have you not looked at toxicology.
 Quoting: Sardonic Dadaist

small amounts of drugs.

11 ng/ml fentanyl
86 ng/ml morphine
19 ng/ml meth
42 ng/ ml d9c-thc

I do not expect that amount of those drugs in that combination to cause respiratory failure.

Especially since he was having problems breathing before being on the floor.

He was having a panic attack.

That alone is enough to kill.

Correct, Back in November my wife had a panic attack that caused one of her lungs to collapse, she was in ICU for 5 days and an additional two weeks in the hospital.

going by the symptoms

i'd say he was asthmatic.

had a panic attack which caused his asthma to kick in.

he may or not known he was asthmatic, as it can develop in response to viral respiratory disease.

i doubt this trial will find this outcome.

I've had a few panic attacks. The first few I totally thought I was going to die and that I was having a heart attack and couldn't breathe. After I learned how to manage them, the rest went better, but I could totally see how someone with jammed up arteries, multi-drug cocktail having a panic attack could trigger a heart attack.

You should watch police videos on you tube of other people dying from a fentanyl overdosis during arrest. They're not calm at all. Just Google cops arrests naked man on fentanyl. When the cops come he is busy trashing his house. The cops restrain him. If I'm not mistaken, he passes out and dies later.

When we first found out I had hypertension years ago the feeling of that sent me into anxiety attacks several times and it last weeks before we got on the right medicine, and yes there were times I almost blacked out because I couldn't breathe. So this to me seems just as plausible.

i understand mega doses or resistance to it's effects can induce an adverse reaction. he was probably on day 5 of his speed run and took a dose that cause him to have pyschosis. usually happens around the 5th day with speed addicts. this led to panic attacks.
