A few points:

First, with respect to the construction of this building---this was built supposedly in '81, eleven years before Hurricane Andrew, a category 5 that this building was in its path--Andrew was a small storm that made landfall within 10 miles of this building.

Second, this building was built under the old codes, all of which were revamped after Andrew and increased significantly with respect to construction and materials.

Third, if the original rebar had not been replaced by now, something's majorly wrong; --or--it was replaced but done poorly...

The following comes to inquiring minds---

Wasn't the Iranian ship carrying some little fast moving boats of some sort??

This building looks awfully like a few structures we saw in Gaza awhile back...

And considering the religious preferences of the area---TV coverage was interviewing a man of the faith, wearing a little cap just now...

plus life could be imitating art, since art was supposedly based on a true story (out of Miami) ie this movie--"War Dogs" about two arms dealers; if memory serves, at least one of them lived in a fancy condo with a gorgeous view...
