I agree with you. Condemning all the developer’s buildings sounds like a good idea. That one looked really shoddy. From that outermost pillar in the screen shot it looks like it sunk.

40 years is a long time for something to exist that has steel in it next to the ocean.

If the steel was embedded in concrete, the concrete might have cracked in the last big hurricane, which opened up the underlying steel to salt water exposure.

And/or it could have simply been a sinkhole. Understanding the details of whatever piling method they used might also shed some light. Drilled and cast or driven? How deep?

In this video of the collapse there is a crowd watching before collapse. They are maybe 100 feet away and don't even move. If I'm 100 feet from a falling 150ft building, I'm gonna step back a few steps... Also, notice the ambulance pull up as the debris cloud is still going into the air. I have no special knowledge or training, but this sure smells like tuna to me.

We are not off the mark by comparing this to what is going on in Israel. Look at the post where it shows the moment of the collapse. There is a very white explosion which could be a DEW.
