This building had concrete with rebar construction, at least on the balconies, judging from video of the rescue of the boy....there were pieces of rebar sticking up all over the place.

If this building was constructed in '81, it was due or overdue for those balconies to be rebuilt because that rebar rusts out over the years due to the porous nature of the concrete...

North of this, in Palm Beach and South Palm Beach, there have been construction crews rebuilding balconies....there are numerous inspections for cracks, etc. as a matter of procedure for buildings like this...it's been a topic of investigation of improperly constructed balconies over the past 20 years...

I am only talking about the balconies--I don't know what could have caused this, only telling you what I have seen and heard through the years living in Florida. Even if several balconies pancaked, I don't see how that would cause this much damage.

This is a horrific tragedy to occur in the middle of the night...

Any history of sink holes in the area? Who owns the building?

Nothing. Just wave the camera around, careful not to let the camera focus on anything. Careful not to get close enough to see shit.

What time is it? who is the person reporting? Maybe introduce themselves?

Can they smell gas? How many casualties that they can see?

Estimated number of units? How many floors? Can't they count?
