Pictures make it look like the "underground" area sunk under the whole building even the standing part as well. the pillars are weathered on top and not on the bottom. the bottom part of pillars are now exposed.

If you look at it closely, it looks like one part of the building became UNATTACHED from the other and basically fell over. You can see the debris piled up next to the pool.

that whole area is sitting on a very large overhang shelf...water erodes things from underneath...

was the first thing i went and pulled off the net...

That whole area has been undermined by water an surf...they will tell the surrounding building to empty out now...

that area is unstable...

when a building is put up like that they excavate the whole area...clear off all the topsoil and Clay as you cannot build on it...now or ever...

there are here where i live...You dig it all out and put it in waste piles and haul in materials that are suitable...

They can spread it back on the top after the fact...but the foundations have to be built on bedrock and when you are by the beach...metal pilings are used to suspend the buildings...
