When I was stopped they came over polite saying, Hello, how are you- or something like that. I just say fine and wait for them to say why they stopped me. Once it was because I sped up too fast before a school zone ended and another time I was in the wrong lane to make a turn. I just said, Oh, sorry I didn't know/it was unintentional. They let me go with a warning. When they left they said something like have a nice day or whatever- I just didn't reply because they messed up part of my day by stopping me at all. It's like I don't know how I would have reacted if it had gone beyond that- if they wanted me to take a breathalyzer or to search my car. I hadn't been drinking or doing drugs at all and had nothing illegal in my car- but I would have been scared/mad if they had escalated it to that point. I probably would have called my uncle to come because my father has too bad of a temper. What gets people killed is when they figure out what the cop is up to and it pisses them off. I am for have every shooting or killing by police investigated by an independent investigatory organization not beholding to or connected in any way to the government. I am also for making it a first degree felony crime to train police to follow policies which exceed lawful actions. They had these independent law enforcement investigators not so long ago, called citizens committees and they had the authority to arrest and criminally charge law enforcement officers. |

If the bullet holes are all in the back window and the car was in reverse, that would seem to indicate he was driving his car in reverse at the police. If he was attempting to flee in reverse, by contrast, the holes would all be in the front. When I first heard the holes were in the back, I assumed he was driving forward and was shot from behind while fleeing, but based on yours and the other post, it sounds like my assumption was incorrect. If the video's would have been provided, we wouldn't even be hearing this hyper-bole, but tbh if I was an attorney in their position, I'd most likely do something similar for attention, and putting pressure for due-process of the legal system. If people are true constitutionalists they'll know this isn't right, and regardless of what happened the police department is hiding stuff. I don't like this type of law. There's an ambulance chasing aspect of this to be sure. But if what happened approaches what was described by the Brown legal team, Sheriff's Deputies are going to jail. I'm guessing the retiree and two who resigned weren't involved, but just said "feck it". |
