Scopes says cops did not take roof to BK, considering snopes is owned by the democratic national committee I'd say if they are denying the meal at BK narrative it's probably true. Cool story though. I worked at a fast food restaurant for a summer when I was in high school, the cops would put in orders for prisoners a couple of times a week. You can't just lock people in a jail cell and not feed them for days, and police stations don't have cooks. I think usually prisoners get transferred to a county jail if they don't make bail quickly but if it's a weekend that doesn't always happen. |

If he is in a detainment cell and in the process of being interrogated, it would not be unusual for the police to bring him fast food. That's happens all the time. A lot of times they offer suspects cigarettes as incentive to talk, or deprive them of water and an incentive to talk. |

I, also, have had numerous encounters with police in my life. Not 30, but not 3, either, and the times I was pulled over, I was much younger and dumber and never had a problem. I followed all the rules black parents say they teach their kids during The Talk and never once had a gun pulled on me or got arrested. One of them even gave me a ride home. I have a buddy who is the classic hothead. He has probably had at least 30 run ins with police, been arrested five times that I know of, and only once did he have a problem. It was in Panama City Beach, he was trashed, and he stumbled toward the cop and got tazed for it. Even he admits he deserved it. His case is a study in why tazers are not the end-all-be-all #BLM argues they are as one of the prongs missed and all he got was poked in the chest. Fortunately, that little jab got his attention because if he had kept coming at the cop, he’d probably be dead, and it would have been his own damn fault. SO let me get this straight, you think the righ thing to do with a stumbling drunk is to electrocute him with 80,000 volts? WHY? Just because you can? I'd just shove him down. The incident had already been going on for half an hour, and he had demonstrated a lot of aggression before he got tazed. The cop did shove him back several times before he tazed him. You left out that part. he is lucky to be alive Yeah, sorry. I’ve told the story a number of times, and was trying to be somewhat brief. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |

They didn't even search my vehicle because I didn't give them a reason too. Act like a criminal and they will treat you as such. Sure I have been lucky but it also takes a bit of civility. 30 times and never criminally assaulted or jacked up? You should go to Vegas It’s not really that uncommon. In fact, it’s the norm. Why praytell do you think a guy that is shitfaced drunk that stumbles towards a cop justifies that cop killing him? I dont get this mindset. It seems like maybe you've been brainwashed to believe cops are sacred cows with special rights. THEY'RE NOT. The parameters that allow for the use of deadly force are very specific, and this doesn't even approach that level of danger. Shooting that guy would be murder.. They have the right to defend themselves. They don't know if the attacker has a weapon. Something you don't seem to understand. If you pulled this shit in the old west they would have shot your ass right then and there. No questions asked. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80286633 United States 04/26/2021 08:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think the way to tell if police use of force and especially use of deadly force is justified is easily judged. If an ordinary citizen would have been justified in using deadly force under the existing laws and the same situation pertaining to self defense, a police officer is too. If not, no dice If you put yourself in that police officers place and you are certain you would be charged, he should be too. Make sense? It is my opinion police officers are paid to enforce the law and should be held to a higher standard of legal behavior and COURAGE, not a more lax one. |

When I was stopped they came over polite saying, Hello, how are you- or something like that. I just say fine and wait for them to say why they stopped me. Once it was because I sped up too fast before a school zone ended and another time I was in the wrong lane to make a turn. I just said, Oh, sorry I didn't know/it was unintentional. They let me go with a warning. When they left they said something like have a nice day or whatever- I just didn't reply because they messed up part of my day by stopping me at all. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80064536 The other time I was stopped was really weird. It was 2 or 3 in the morning and they turned a spotlight on me and came over to the window. They said they stopped me because my car tag was rusty or dirty and one character of it was obscure. I thought wth and asked if I could get out and look at it and did I need to replace it. They hemmed and hawed around and said that they really stopped me because there had been robberies in the area and they were keeping a lookout. I thought- crap are they going to want to search my car. I asked what houses had been robbed and said I didn't know of robberies in this neighborhood/my neighborhood. They hemmed and hawed some more and then left. I have no idea... They were hoping you were drunk, but you weren't, so they split. |
