I know the advocacy is getting really ugly and scary. Not sure what George Knapp means about the advocates not being happy with Madeline's sanctuary. There are so many factions and infighting of people within the advocacy. The harassment of people trying to help the horses is out of control, I can personally attest to that.

Really sick people who cut off the water to these horses. It is obviously in efforts to make someone trying to help the horses look bad. She has had nothing but red tape in trying to open the sanctuary to the public.

Well that has happened to me on other sites, but not this one.
However I will say that I get banned A LOT and I dont know why
LOL! but they always let me back in a day or so. LOL!!!!

Most definitely. They are behind a lot of the online bullying that is going on with the non-profits. While not directly doing the deed, they are putting their friends, so far mostly ranchers with BLM ties, and pro-slaughter groups up to the tasks. One group of wild horses I am affiliated with is actually hidden because of these shenanigans, however they are also in Northern Nevada as were these horses.

"Terrorists"? Lol! Madeline is in financial troubles now that she isn't married to T. Boone anymore. Her land/water grab scam under the guise of saving wild horses has failed. I call BULLSHIT! She more likely had this tragedy staged to benefit her in some way.

Also, fences may have been cut, wells shut off, but why are the horses being managed so, that they are not being checked on a daily basis, as all ranchers do for their own livestock in summer heat like this? To not check on a daily basis constitutes gross negligence. Madeline as owner of this operation should therefore be held accountable for the inhumane conditions the animals have been subjected to.

BTW. Why do some of the horses in the video appear to have been deceased for well over a week or two...or three? They were just discovered?!?! If Madeline had $25 mil to invest in the ranch, then she damn sure has access to aircraft that would be needed to monitor the herds. Any stray/struggling horse would have been found before succumbing to dehydration.

$100,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the criminals....

I'd offer a $100k reward, too, if I was Madeline. Knowing that I was behind the vandalism, I would know that no one was going to be caught, and that I'd never pay out.

Hmm, I don't notice any info or statements from the Elko Co. Sheriff included in the article do you? All it is is an accusation on part of Madeline. I personally know that she neglects the horses and the entire operation of the "monument" that used to be a functioning ranch, teeming with wildlife. Truly sad to see what it has become...and now this. Madeline comes to the ranch after months of being away and is surprised that the animals that she has neglected, have died.

You seem like a shill of a special sort, and you one stared my post on top of it, posting three times, what is your special interest in my thread? Do you not care about wild horses? No, you can't get beyond Madeline when it comes right down to it now can you? Can you speak as to why the BLM and other govt agencies stymied her ability to open her ranch to the public, for years? Isn't this ironic with the upcoming BLM meeting in September, always something major happening around their itinerary.

I am from the area. Everyone knows that she was using the wild horse issue to provide cover for the fact that she and T. Boone bought the ranch for its impressive water rights. They intended to sell the water to Vegas down the road. She does not give a shit about the horses. That was obvious from the get go.

Now she is trying to unload the ranch. She does not have the $$ to support the horses. I am guessing she asked one of the caretakers to cut the fences weeks ago to let the horses free to roam away from the ranch. Now she is in trouble because the horses didn't make it far before dying.

The sheriff will be able to tell what is going on soon enough.

I can only guess it is the Bureau of Land Management.

She accepted responsibility for the horses. She fenced them in. Therefore, she is responsible for the regular welfare checks. Her staff would have become aware that the fences had been cut, wells turned off on the first day or two after occurance. It is blatantly obvious that they checks were not being done. Veterinarians and LEO are already on the case. Doesn't look good for Madeleine!!

I hear you, but I am not convinced there are not shenanigans involved. I personally know how dirty BLM and BLM friends and rancher friends of the BLM can be....

George Knapp is an awesome reporter with huge integrity and also well-respected in the CT community. I doubt he would get behind someone trying to cut their losses via animal murder. This smells of BLM shenanigans.

My guess is to find out whether she has been getting pressured by BLM and/or other authorities in NV. Harry headed up a shoot-range-cattle FB page so he would do anything if he wanted her land.

That says all I need to know, Harry Reid and BLM churning the land for personal profit. Kill all the animals (and people if necessary) is their MO.

You sound like a rancher with personal interests against this woman. Be gone. It isn't an opposing opinion you bring, you obviously are implicated somehow in the shenanigans in my world.

Madeline has had many issues with the BLM and ranchers. See my press release quote above in the thread. She has spoken out about it multiple times.

The herd of wild horses I am involved with has had to hire professional security guards to guard them out in the pasture in Northern Nevada because of this ongoing physical harassment and threats and trespassing on the land by trolls and shills who are against of the good side of the advocacy.

I did, this came out of your press release.

From that same press release....

"January 2016- The BLM added pressure to the operation and placed pressure on
local government to get Madeleine to carry out work on water supply pipes in the
midst of winter at a huge cost, which was complete. They still then held up
permits."

So the BLM made her do work on water pipes when the ground was frozen? Ok well that is simply ridiculous and also very curiously coincidental that now we have horses that died from no water....
