I agree with you. Whoever the vandal is, it is a sick, radicalized person. I also think that any law enforcement agency investigating this crime should be looking at the cases in Idaho and considering the possibility that these crimes are connected. These crimes occured in areas only 3-4 hours by car apart. I was unaware of the Rupert case until now:

"There was a large bloody patch on one end of the fenced-in field. That’s where Dee was initially attacked. But she didn’t die from those wounds. She ran across the field, and was followed by her attackers, who continued to inflict harm until she died, Armstrong said. Dee had a wound in her side and her nasal cavity was shattered, according to the AP report.

Now Armstrong is raising money on a GoFundMe page for a reward to find the people who killed Dee. By Thursday morning, the page raised more than $3,000.

She’s also recalling another abuse incident from last year. Just about an hour away from where Dee died is Rupert, where Patches the Shetland pony was brutalized in 2015.

Idaho pony’s abuse case still unsolved

In September 2015 a Rupert pony named Patches was mutilated so badly he had to be euthanized the following day, according to a Times-News report.

The old pony was a pet to Hugo and Daniela Lopez, who had three young children: Ethan, 6, Derrick, 4 and Jacob, 3. The children and their neighbors would ride Patches and the pony helped keep the neighbors’ weeds at bay.

One night an unidentified suspect took the pony and dragged it behind a vehicle for almost a mile and a half. Patches’ eyes were beaten, his skin was slashed from his hindquarters and his abdomen was punctured, according to the report."

Whoever this person is, they are beyond sadistic. This is definitely terror type crime against wild horses. Is the FBI involved with the investigation, yet? If not, why not? Is this false flag terror commited by someone who want to further enflame tensions among the horse advocate, rancher and gov't agencies who are already ready for war over the issue? I personally know thousands of people on all sides of the controversy. I don't know any one even close to messed up enough to brutally murder horses over it, though.

There was a wave of rumor that the Idaho horse, another wild horse that was rescued and going to go to a new home the next day, was impaled by a stick in the side. This does not explain the skull/facial injuries does it? There was third crime also, I will have to find it and post it here. Palomino Valley received a huge load of wild horses yesterday as I received word from a boots-on-the-ground, advocate. Where did the horses go that were already being held at Palomino Valley? Poof....1700 Horses disappeared...

I have a theory about such things, which explains why some of the trolls online are so nasty in defending their livelihood made from the downlow industry of wild horse slaughter.

Well, looks to me like he is a serious disinfo agent, mixing hardcore truth with info meant to throw you off. A la Alex Jones?
The Ruby Pipeline that they refer to went across miles of my land. That was put in 5-6 years ago. You would barely even know it is there now. Didn't do much to change the landscape. I don't see how the horses in the Calico range would have been an issue at all.
What I do see is that agenda 21 types are constantly trying to pit different factions against each other so the BLM can kick everyone off of the range. To claim that they are removing horses in order to increase cattle permits is quite misguided. The BLM never increases cattle permits. Only decreases them for whatever reason they can find. They want the land cleared for future mining interests. Faraday(Vegas) and Tesla(Reno) have their eyes on all the lithium deposits. Barrick and Newmont the gold. Uranium One the uranium and Bill Gates' Terra Power wants the thorium. Oil and gas development is not advancing currently in NV.

Yeah all of the habitat loss used to be for the cows, now it is for the mining resources, we agree on that. Is that what the ranchers are so pissed about now?

touching, I felt that... Like a nice glass of water after a treacherous walk through the hot desert your words were for me this day, Thank you ~ flower

One for you, a hummingbird with desert cactus blooms and a sunset.... [link to imgur.com]

Oh, so nice. Is that a barrel cactus in bloom?

We had a Night-blooming cereus and one night the bats came. They would fly from plant to plant in a flash and shake the entire plant when the landed in the flower and wallowed in the pollen.

It was one of the most amazing things I had ever witnessed. Even though one could not even see the little buggers fly. They were so fast.

Though one time I did stop on the side of the interstate having seen some dust like something coming down from the side of a mountain. I thought yes, maybe, yes. Then sure enough, wild horses ran by.

That is so great, you can capture such imagery. Oh thank you for the reminder of such beauty.

 Quoting: ~Lumminessa~

A lot of ranchers have no clue what is going on. They just know that the BLM is using conflated issues like endangered tortoises or sage grouse to cancel their grazing permits entirely. If you look at some of the Bundy threads on here there is a lot of info on how and why the BLM does what it does. I feel like the ranchers and wild horse people could and should get along and try to work together. By using divisive tactics, the BLM and those multi national corps interested in exploiting the natural resources will defeat them both easily. That is what I was trying to get at before. Are these crimes against horses committed by someone trying to ignite a bigger war between ranchers and wild horse advocates in order to justify taking them both out? All the BLM would have to do is round up the remaining mustangs, cancel all grazing permits and it's over for everyone.

This breaks my heart...who would do this?

Wild horses found dead at Madeleine Pickens' Sanctuary

"Sometime in the last week or so, unknown persons vandalized several gates on the large enclosed preserve. Fences were cut, and worst of all, all of the water pumps were disabled, meaning the mustangs had no water for days. Most died of thirst in the summer heat. The I-Team spoke to Mrs. Pickens by phone Wednesday afternoon."

and..."Pickens has spent $25 million to create her Mustang Monument sanctuary and eco-resort which is home to 700 rescued mustangs, but the plan has faced continuous opposition from the Bureau of Land Management and Elko officials sympathetic to cattle ranchers, as well as wild horse advocates."

Horses are never wild or free.

The government kills thousands of horses each year. When they own half the west coast, and people can no longer afford to feed/provide medical care to 1000s of horses, they can't use them for dog food, or glue, as the government shut them down and they can't release them onto public lands (which is a majority controlled by the BLM in Washington).....

the end result is hundred of thousands of horses (and other wildlife) die each year because of BLM in Washington.

THAT IS A FACT.

Yep, I am keenly aware of the fact that the BLM and the west being owned and controlled by Washington along with rules, regulations kill thousands of horses each year...

If you want the story, i'll share, but capitalist are very aware of the fact.

The owner probably would've paid me a years worth of food/medical expenses to take his 1000 mares of his hands.

Erased? I did not know or see that part. I said healing because I thought I was getting to read a real discussion that was not being overwhelmed or overtaken with obfuscation. I was using the word healing to mean refreshing. In other words, it was refreshing to see a thread of this nature not being taken over by obfuscation and that has been healing for me. Now tell me about this erased.

The way you all are carrying on, one would think unified command has shown up with subcontractors from G4S or something.

I remember now, and no it wasn't a barrel cactus, one of the lobed kind, and in my yard one is 20 feet high which is the one that was blooming. How are you doing ? Nice to see you on the thread!

I removed several posts that had nothing to do with wild horses. Nothing really to be concerned about. I thought I was being shilled at the time, because I guess one of my regular posters on here though I was Madeline or associated with her closely. No worries.

Now that is too funny. I was also posting in the "Louisiana Officials Demand" thread today. Had the post of mine highlighted for requote in that thread. Seems like it actually fits with the obfuscation tactics sometimes witnessed around the net. I always find it most interesting on what people do not comment on. No one wanted to touch the reality of corporations and some government agencies sharing counterinsurgency manual, for example.

I am glad to see interest in the thread today. It is really overdue, and almost too late, to do anything. I got so depressed after the roundup last year, deeply sad about the loss of life when those horses saved me in so many ways.

Glad to hear they were not erased. Good to know. The last time we touched base so long was when a thread of mine went poof. Your explanation spared me a flashback. I have still managed to hang onto a dry sense of humor however. Which finding a sense a humor again with what I have been through was a challenge in healing in itself.

I ran into an interesting case as well. "Louisiana Army Base Infested With Plague of 700 Wild Horses." Those horses had been on that base for decades and then all of a sudden "headlines" like that and then it all kinda went silent. Very odd.
