One has to remember the ancient texts were translated into Greek and the word hate in Greek means 'Less love" not hate as man knows the word today.

The same with the word "comforter" 900 years ago in English it meant to push and poke to get people to do something. It did not mean moddle coddle people.

Meanings of words have changed down the ages, in the same way that word church did not mean church buildings but a spiritual community living like the essenes ecologically and self-sustainably.

Verse 3 starts: “For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her”,

First, North of where? All events that happen in the Bible will revolve around Israel, Babylon The Great is not in Israel, so what does this mean? Well, this means the Nation that will come against Babylon The Great will be out OF the north OF Israel, and if you want to narrow down, north of Jerusalem. It will be Russia, (Assyria) and her allies, I will prove this now and later. First, you can draw a line straight North of Jerusalem, and right into the heart of Moscow. Look at your globe.

The rest of Verse 3: “which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast”.

Make a Mental note here: it shall be made desolate, and this desolation: shall remove, (means run to and fro),They shall depart, both Man and Beast, (we will get back to this).

OT:8047 Desolate means in the Hebrew:
shammah –waste, horror, appalment
a) a waste (of land, city, etc.)
b) appalment, horror

OT:1980 they shall depart means in the Hebrew:
halak –to go, to walk, to come
a) (Qal)

Let’s establish Time Line terms from the Bible first.

The seven year tribulation is the first seven years of the Millennium (a one thousand year period) in which The Messiah Reigns. The Millennium does not start after the Tribulation Period….It is a seven year period during the Millennium, the one thousand year period. Let’s go to 2 Peter.

2 Peter 3:8
8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. KJV

Misconceptions About Babylon The Great

One of the most common misconceptions about Babylon The Great is it was never called Mystery Babylon. I will prove this.

Rev 17:5
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (KJV)

Notice after Mystery there is a comma. Mystery, Babylon The Great, meaning this is a Mystery about “Babylon The Great”, always misunderstood as being called Mystery Babylon. This misinterpretation will lead people to believe that we are not supposed to know who she is, this is not the case.

It is a Mystery about Babylon The Great which is being unveiled now in the Last Days, or as referred to in the Bible as the latter days, the day of the Lord, time of His wrath, time of troubles, His indignation, birth pangs (the tribulation period), and some other names that show they were NOT talking about the first Babylon which was a city.

This is talking Babylon The Great, the hammer of the earth, the greatest military and economic power at the time of it’s destruction, is not a religion, not a false prophet, or as many Christians believe, and not the Radical Islamic movement, but it is a land, a place and/or country. But most important we will show that Babylon The Great is not Iraq.

Note: Many of the scriptures in the prophecy’s do have a double meaning, but do not let this confuse you.

Leading Up To The Day Of The Lord

Babylon the Great is a Key country. Knowing who she is and the specific events that will happen, will open our eyes to the Day Of The Lord.

This is one of the most controversial messages in the Bible. I feel the Lord is having me teach on this not to offend you, but to show with out a doubt, the day and the hour in which we live. If you will open your heart here, the Lord heeds you a Great Warning, as he always does, just as in the day of Sodom and Gomorrah where he delivered Lot and his family out of his wrath, and as in the days of Noah, where he delivered Noah and his family, and the animals from the Great Flood.

26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Note: What really happened here with Lot’s wife?

Was it that she looked back? I don’t believe so, it was where Her heart was. She did not want it to happen. She was addicted to the immoral ways that they lived, and whose fault was that? It was her husband Lot’s fault, history repeats itself. Like Adam, Lot did not tend to his Garden.

History always repeats itself, lets look in Ecclesiastes

Eccl 1:9

9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. KJV

As in the Day of Noah

Instead of scoffing at Noah, and where did that get the people who were outside of the Ark, or the people who stayed in Sodom? The door to the Ark is still open for now, so don’t let history repeat itself at the price that it cost…Follow G-d this time, He’s got a plan.

The Feast Day Rosh Hashanah is the Opening of the Gates, let’s get in the Ark this time. I will cover The Opening Of the Gates later in this Lesson, I will let you think on this a while.
