I am going to show that the Beast of Daniel and Revelation is Rome 1st century.

4 beasts of Daniel=Lion, Leopard,Bear, and 4th with 10 horns
4th beast of Daniel with 10 horns=4th kingdom (Rome) upon the earth (Dan 7:23)

Beast of Revelation contains all the characteristics of Daniels 4 beasts (Lion, Leopard, Bear and 4th Beast)

4 beasts of Daniel rise up out of the sea (Dan 7:3)
Beast of Revelation rises up out of the sea (Rev 13:1)

Dan.7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
Rev.13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.


4th Beast of Daniel has 10 horns which are 10 kings (Dan.7:24)
Beast of Revelation has 10 horns which are 10 kings (Rev.17:12)

4th Beast of Daniel is destroyed in the burning fire (Dan. 7:11).
Beast of Revelation is thrown into the Lake of Fire (Rev.19:20).

Dan.7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Rev.19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

1st beast = the lion = Babylonian Empire
2nd beast = the bear = Medo-Persia Empire
3rd beast = the leopard = Greece
4th beast = Dreadful, with iron teeth = Roman Empire

Now the next step is to uncover what time period of the Roman Empires existence Revelation is speaking of. The best place to start is in Revelation 11 which begins with the Apostle John being given a vision of the Temple in the Holy city Jerusalem, and he is told to measure it (the Temple is still standing at the time of his vision), but to leave out the outer court and the city for that is given to the Gentiles to trample underfoot. Also John is shown the two witnesses who prophesy in the great city “Jerusalem” where our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, and are killed by the Beast.
Rev. 11:1- 3 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein . But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth….7) And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.



From that vision we know that the time period John is being shown is before Jerusalem was destroyed by Rome in 70AD. He saw the vision of the Temple still standing and the Gentiles (Roman army) trampling the Holy city, giving a time period of 42 months for that to continue. Then there is a concurrent time period of 1260 days in which the two witnesses prophesy before the Beast kills them and there bodies lie in the streets of Jerusalem (Sodom and Egypt where Jesus was crucified) for 3 1/2 days. From the above information a time line can be drawn up to show the time of these events.

Church of Christ and Catholics believe that Revelations already happened, that we are in the Kingdom Now.

Now think about this IF we are in the Kingdom now, then I want my money back

People We are entering Revived Roman Empire stage...........but it will not be official until Babylon IS Destroyed

Are you saying that because the world around us is a mess that we can't be in New Jerusalem? I think that is what you mean. Well, I ask where does the Bible say that this earth that we stand on will ever be perfect again, with no sin? As long as people continue to have babies, then there will be sin. It is in everyone.

As christians we have to do our best to be as Jesus was, but we will never be perfect until we are in Heaven and are fully changed.

Let me ask you something: If Jesus were to come back tonight, how would the christians be made perfect?
Do christians not sin? How would we get these carnal, mortal bodies off of us?

Paul says 1 Corinthians 15:52-54, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptable and we shall be changed. For this corruption must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality.

The passages before talk about our celestial bodies and our terrestrial bodies.

Then we have in verse 50, Now, this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

Think for a moment, Why would we need a celestial body, a body that is uncorruptable, a perfect body, soul, and spirit on Earth? What is Heaven for?

Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world".

New Jerusalem is not a perfect world yet, in Rev 22:15, speaking of New Jerusalem, "But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and whomever loves and practices a lie.

See, the wicked are still there but they are outside the gates.

The old covenant system was all the world knew back then. The entire Heavens and Earth was set up under this covenant. By ending this one and beginning the new, God has purchased back sinful man and restored the communion that Adam had with God before the fall.

This is what the entire Bible is about.
