Does God create evil? Certainly not. If He was the author of evil, then He certainly would not be a good God that is worthy of worship and praise, much less trusted to have our well-being in mind. My favorite ... if you believe in the Old Testament, then the New Testament is totally irrelevant, and all "Christians" are Jewish.

The Messiah will sit on the throne of David. Jesus didn't sit on the throne of David, therefore he is not the Messiah. Most of the prophecies about the Messiah are not fulfilled by Jesus. Therefore, the entire NT is a contradiction.

I will start, I was an atheist, but science just could not answer all questions.

The reporting of the war, (nam) and all that was going on, really made me think about people, free love and all, (no aids yet), I began to doubt.


I talked to a (what I thought may be myself) Greater being.

no answer. but I knew something was comming up. a cross road if you like.

It was, I knew enough about Christianity, but was not really ready to commit.


Then I had an accident, I was not wearing a seat belt the truck rolled and I came out and the truck came to rest on my head.

As it was happening I prayed well I give up, I am here if you want me.

I was PISSED I WAS NOT DEAD.


I later figured out Dieing is easy, LIVING IS HARD.


Nothing changed, I tried to put it past me, years passed I thought there was no change, I told people but they thought yeah right, I am full of sh.. I must have been Drunk, I never drank in my life, and all this from people who claimed to be friends.

I looked into "logical" explanations, I looked to supernatural explanations,



I studied Wicca, Buddha, Hindu, Shinto, Islam, every bible I could find I did find "problems" with versions,


But to make a long story short.


It is a relationship with God, and as that Relationship Grows I trust him MORE AND MORE.


Think of it this way, You have a significant other, as you get to know them, things become clear about who they are, and if someone tells you something about them, You can say, with confidence that you know them well enough to know they said that or not, especially when it is on extremes.


Example, If a "friend" told you that Your partner told them that you were to do "blank", you would know by "blank" if it was something they would do.

Like give your friend 1000 dollars, you would know who really said that.

But if you didn't know your partner how would you know if that is true?

But Christ who is God can Die, when he had no debt to pay, to take our place, and then "Pay" for our debt,


All we have to do is accept this gift.

but habits die hard, and we have to work at it, and just like any relationship it takes effort and time.

I find your explanation unsatisfactory. If he was sacrificed in our place to appease God, how is this not human sacrifice?
