Guys i have a feeling he is going to be guilty.

Its not because he actually is, but because the USA's whole system is corrupt these days.

Prepare yourselves mentally, this will be a real eye opening, a red pill moment, for a lot of people.

The elites have an agenda and will strive hard to accomplish it.
 Quoting: Tassie Lurker

So the two reported hold outs are scared of repercussions for not wanting to vote guilty?

Not buying it.

Neither am I. They wanted to be on the jury. They agreed to make a decision based on the facts of the case in court. So, now they want to base their decision on what BLM says? No two people on earth are that fucking stupid!!

In theory no one would know who voted which way not even the jurors themselves but alas. In today’s clown world.

Will they read the verdict no matter the time of day it comes in?

Will the judge let them go home at a certain time if they dont come to a verdict?
 Quoting: Debug

Good question. How can any of them be safe trying to get home?
 Quoting: Oaken Paw

I could be wrong but in personal experience once in deliberation the jury gets sequestered.
 Quoting: Bright Side

They are not sequestering this jury.

And that is a HUGE mistake here.

The fact that they are attempting to intimidate the jurors should convince the jurors of his innocence in this matter. How stupid can they be?

I don't think he can apply a 'Direct Verdict' to a mistrial.
 Quoting: BBQ BOY™

Mistrial simply means the trial didn't happen... Mistrial dismissed with prejudice is over and done with and can't be brought back to court. Mistrial dismissed without prejudice means the he can be retried.
 Quoting: BeenAround®

Correct, but a 'Direct Verdict' can only be issued before the case goes to the Jury, that's my understanding anyway.
 Quoting: BBQ BOY™

I've heard of directed verdicts happening after a jury has rendered its verdict when the judge disagrees strongly enough that he will just set aside the jury's decision, but I've never heard of a directed verdict when the jury comes back hung.
 Quoting: Revbo™

Thanks for clarifying that. I was googling it but wasn't finding anything for a mistrial.

Geez this is stressful. I have kids his age and I could easily see them or any of their friends in the same situation - trying to do something they think is worthwhile or important or noble... They're too young to see the danger or backside of any such decision.

That kid did not go there looking to shoot anyone. He went there to feel like a hero who did something right for a community he felt tied to. I think he fully expected to leave that night feeling he accomplished a little bit of good. You can't punish a kid for being stupid. We have all been there.

Jury Tampering Law and Legal Definition

Some jury tampering cases have involved physical barriers or obstructions to the courthouse, and protests or pamphleting in the courthouse area. At issue in such cases is the conflict between First Amendment protections of expression and coercive influencing of jurors. Wood v. Georgia, 370 U.S. 375 (1962) held that a state may not punish out-of-court statements critical of judicial actions, absent special circumstances showing an extremely high likelihood of serious interference with the administration of justice. It approved the clear and present danger standard used in Bridges v. California, Pennekamp v. Florida, and Craig v. Harney. Id., at 314 U.S. 252 (1941); 328 U.S. 331 (1946); and 331 U.S. 367 (1947), respectively.

Why shouldn't he have been there? I guess you believe teens should be like most adults, playing sports or watching it and not getting involved in supporting communities or doing anything of any true value to society? Stick your head in the sand, cower and hope no one intrudes in your neighborhood.

Guess it is good you are not on the jury because you would likely wimp out and go against your conscience to do what is right because you live in fear.
