Re: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial - Verdict Watch - Day 1
I didn't get to watch the whole trial. Can anyone tell me if the defense team ever told the jury how long Kyle was on the streets, with a rifle, NOT shooting anyone? I would think that would be very helpful.
 Quoting: TheEmptyChild

Yes they did. They even pointed out that he approached the police still holding the gun and was turned away by them.
 Quoting: ~Jazz~

This alone should tell people he was not a threat. This kid showed more restraint than most adults would have. Even in the midst of the attacks he didn't shoot anyone who backed off. I would think adrenaline would have made anyone who started shooting...continue to shoot.

Re: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial - Verdict Watch - Day 1
The Criminal Charges Against Kyle Rittenhouse

Count 1: First-degree reckless homicide. Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of this crime in connection with the fatal shooting of Joseph D. Rosenbaum. Under Wisconsin law, the crime is defined as recklessly causing death under circumstances that show utter disregard for human life.

Counts 2 and 5: First-degree recklessly endangering safety. Mr. Rittenhouse is charged with recklessly endangering two people who, according to the criminal complaint, had shots fired toward them but were not hit: Richard McGinnis and an unknown male seen in video of the episode.

Count 3: First-degree intentional homicide. Mr. Rittenhouse faces this charge in connection with the fatal shooting of Anthony M. Huber. The crime, analogous to first-degree murder in other states, is defined as causing the death of another human being with intent to kill that person or someone else.

Count 4: Attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Mr. Rittenhouse faces this charge in connection with the shooting of Gaige P. Grosskreutz, who was struck and wounded.

Count 6: Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. The judge dismissed this charge prior to closing arguments, agreeing with a defense argument that Mr. Rittenhouse wasn’t technically prohibited under a strict reading of Wisconsin state law from carrying the particular type of weapon he used, even though he was 17 at the time of the shootings.

I feel so helpless, that I am too far to be able to drive and stand on those courthouse steps supporting Kyle. I have 2 teenagers and a baby, so I can’t just up and leave to go show support. I’m in a very red state, so this shit doesn’t fly, therefore I never come across these idiots, so I can tell them to shut the fuck up.

With it being so apparent that God himself was seemingly guiding this young man that night in Kenosha one thing for me is certain... I will be playing those chosen juror numbers in the lottery this week!

A guilty verdict if that is what will come to pass is not a failure of the judicial system. This is a jury trial. His fate lies in whatever the jury of his peers decide. Both prosecutor and defense have equal role in choosing jurors. If he is found guilty, then it is failure of our society - as sick as it is.

Go back and listen to the McGinnis testimony. Rosenbaum said "F#ck you" as he was reaching for the gun. His forward momentum is what created some of the shots to the back. Video confirms McGinnis' take as accurate. McGinnis also tried to save Rosenbaums life after Rittenhouse fled. No doubt the k8d was in self defense mode.

I've only been able to watch less than an hour of the trial. The first few minutes I saw
was Kyle's testimony where he broke down. That was painful to watch.

From the limited knowledge I have, it appears the prosecution way over-charged and Kyle
acted in self-defense. Everything was charged as "first-degree." However, should be have been charged at all?

I also saw an interview of Kyle's mother and she responded perfectly.

I pray for the right outcome.
