Shortage of EVERYTHING!

Glad i bought the components for wood stove install yesterday, my local ACE had them in stock but just enough for my install. I was concerned waiting even another couple of weeks into fall would have been too late. Guess it just depends on your region. I'm in Pacific Northwest. I haven't noticed empty shelves or shortages but there is a lack of workers in all of the food and beverage hospitality industries here.

I have crack in my windshield from a small rock hitting it a few weeks ago. Safelite told us it would be about 3 weeks. That appointment came and went, now pushed out another month. My Jenn Air downdraft range needs a new internal fan. The part is on order, and they have said it would take 2-4 months. No new models of this particular range are available anywhere! I am baking/roasting in a toaster/convection oven. We have ordered a second one, which happened to be available and it has already shipped. Fortunately, my stovetop is working, so there's that. I anticipate this will get worse.
Pacific Northwest here, also. Grocery stores seem fine. We're topping off our preps anyway. You never know what might happen.

TBH, most kids don't need squat-shit and have rooms over-run with crap they never even touch.

Instead perhaps focus on being together as a family, eating a great meal, and doing fun things instead?

My local Walmart and Best Buy only have half of the normal amount of TV's on display, the other half are blank spaces.

Lots of missing replacement part/accessories everywhere.

Amazon still seems to have most of the shit though...

China just had massive flooding, and everything is made in China...

I am friends with the gentleman who runs the Sears in my town. He always hooks me up with deals and is an honest guy(also happens to be a vet)
I told him I needed a washing machine and I pointed at three and he said he couldn’t sell them, I asked about a couple more and same story so I asked how bout you tell me what you can sell. We started talking about the shortage and he told me he can’t sell the machines on the floor because they want the store to look full but there are very few to any machines in the pipeline coming anytime soon. Same with fridges/freezers/ac etc

I wear Teva sandals all summer, Tirra model, I love them.

I was thinking that with the shortages I should get another pair. Last spring there were maybe 20 colors on their website and the same on Amazon.

Now there is one white pair in my size at the TEVA site, and only an ugly green in stock on Amazon plus maybe a gray. I settled for a lavender one I like that is supposed to come in a month.

It isn't the end of the world at all for me, but I did tell hub to stock up on extra footwear. It's all made in China. If you need special brands for foot problems, get it now.

Just returned from Winco in Eugene Oregon. Everything looked well stocked, so no food issues yet in this area.

I had trouble getting new sandals this year too, had to order them because the store didn't have any in stock.
