I know there have been threads on food shortages and things. But I tried to buy a garage door today.....was told at Home Depot that they would order one (nothing odd, nothing fancy)...a standard 9x7 door...but it would take at LEAST 12-16 WEEKS! Quoting: Dr FossilFuel Burner Tried to order a Chinese (I'm Sure) radio off Amazon...got a email saying it would be delivered in January 2022!!!! Crap's getting REAL Bad! Trust me. Do NOT BUY a garage door from Home Depot. You’ll regret it. Go find a local source. It’ll be 500% better and it’ll be made in the USA. Home Depot is a Chinese run fucked up company. Yeah....you are right...that is my next stop for the garage door. They turn their noses up at any other kind of canned. I've been finding the dry food though. Chewy.com consistently had the cat food my kitties favor, even when the two local supermarkets were out. It's simple to open an account with them, and they have great customer service. Free shipping over $49. I forgot about them. I bought our cat tree from them s few years back. Thanks! We started talking about the shortage and he told me he can’t sell the machines on the floor because they want the store to look full but there are very few to any machines in the pipeline coming anytime soon. Same with fridges/freezers/ac etc Ordered a Maytag frige this past June on an appliance site, since both Home Depot and Lowes were out of stock. The site led you to believe the item was in stock and gave a delivery date in July. When that date came and went, I made an inquiry. They said it was delayed and was scheduled for late August. Called last week to confirm. They said it would not arrive until late October. The rep then confessed that my order is grouped with 35 others going back to April 2020. The orders between Jan and Mar 2020 totalled 900 and those were just shipped out! |

Quoting: BFD Never Getting Jabbed I had trouble getting new sandals this year too, had to order them because the store didn't have any in stock. I was on Amazon last night trying to order 2 pairs of hiking sandals. Selection is horrible and hard to find in my size. I don't know if size 12 is the most common but I can never find them. This time though, they barely had any sandals on the shelves. Same with 32/32 pants as long as I can remember but that's different. Hah! Same size shoes and pants here, and yeah, 32 x 32 is hard to find, it almost all big waist sizes available. 32x34 is just too long... but I sometimes settle for that because they usually have those. |

I think I have more stockpiled for them than for us, lol Pet owners need to stock up on foods that cats, dogs and humans can eat - unless you want to eat dog and cat food when times get tough. Cats and dogs love tuna, salmon, chicken, etc, so if you're not a vegetarian, stock up on those foods and you can share with the babies if there's a pet food shortage. Further, as long as certain things (onions, garlic, chocolate) aren't it in, dogs can and do love to eat what you eat. I made the mistake of serving real tuna in a can to my two cats and they won't eat any other regular wet cat food. I order small cases from Amazon to try and keep the cost down. It will also serve as backup if times get tough. It's getting tough to order, though, with limited inventory already. I also heard on the car radio this afternoon that there are already shortages of toilet paper. Just the rumor will create a run on it. You and the cat can both eat the tuna, which is my point about stocking up. Shopping via Amazon is often more expensive because the sellers know you want the convenience. Two nights ago, Starkist tuna was .89 per can at the grocrey store I shop at. That's no more expensive per oz than wet cat food. Go to the grocery store, if possible, and skip Amazon.
