Ordered a Maytag frige this past June on an appliance site, since both Home Depot and Lowes were out of stock. The site led you to believe the item was in stock and gave a delivery date in July. When that date came and went, I made an inquiry. They said it was delayed and was scheduled for late August. Called last week to confirm. They said it would not arrive until late October. The rep then confessed that my order is grouped with 35 others going back to April 2020. The orders between Jan and Mar 2020 totalled 900 and those were just shipped out!

Got my new freezer delivered yesterday. Walmart.com

Hooked up my new backup heater yesterday. Parts no problem @ ebay.

2 new large (backup) AC's delivered last week. I'm not ever getting too hot until the grid goes down and the generator fuel is unavailable!!!

Was surprised to see (2) cans of smoked oysters back-ordered from the (2) dozen I just bought @ Walmart.com. Guess I bought out the online warehouse. Maybe OP is spot on...

I was at the grocery store a couple of nights ago. It was really messy with stuff not restocked. I think it was a labor thing more than shortages. Unloaded trucks and all that. As to what you said, YES. It seemed like many items I got have nearly doubled in price in the past year.

Wash and shrink them and then take them to a dry cleaners and they'll hem them for you for cheap.

Shopping via Amazon is often more expensive because the sellers know you want the convenience. Two nights ago, Starkist tuna was .89 per can at the grocrey store I shop at. That's no more expensive per oz than wet cat food. Go to the grocery store, if possible, and skip Amazon.

Wire and cable has skyrocketed, if you can even find it~? Everything has doubled in price and what didn't double in price, has Tripled in price... Some stuff is up 430%

I have a friend that's worked at the Foldger's plant in New Orleans for like 10 years.. He said the wholesale price of coffee is exploding and he figured by the time it makes it through distribution it'll double in price..

No Labor Anywhere To Be Found.. You could fill 100 pages with prices that have skyrocketed..

They just gave a 25% across the board increase in Food Stamps.. Why~? Because they know the hammer is dropping and their trying to keep the plebs pacified until they can't.. Then we'll be so far gone,,,, Not Even Under Dog Can Save Us~!!!

I know a lot of truckers walked away recently (after covid hit). Large number of them have been getting to retirement age and no new people wanting to take their place.

Fire all furlough slackers and f Xmas anyway
