Quoting: Prayandprepare000 I was thinking that with the shortages I should get another pair. Last spring there were maybe 20 colors on their website and the same on Amazon. Now there is one white pair in my size at the TEVA site, and only an ugly green in stock on Amazon plus maybe a gray. I settled for a lavender one I like that is supposed to come in a month. It isn't the end of the world at all for me, but I did tell hub to stock up on extra footwear. It's all made in China. If you need special brands for foot problems, get it now. I had trouble getting new sandals this year too, had to order them because the store didn't have any in stock. I was on Amazon last night trying to order 2 pairs of hiking sandals. Selection is horrible and hard to find in my size. I don't know if size 12 is the most common but I can never find them. This time though, they barely had any sandals on the shelves. Same with 32/32 pants as long as I can remember but that's different. Hah! Same size shoes and pants here, and yeah, 32 x 32 is hard to find, it almost all big waist sizes available. I know there have been threads on food shortages and things. Quoting: Dr FossilFuel Burner Tried to order a Chinese (I'm Sure) radio off Amazon...got a email saying it would be delivered in January 2022!!!! Crap's getting REAL Bad! Even a trade field shortage. I called 7 electricians. The first guy dicked me around for a week. Constantly not showing up and having a multitude of excuses. 5 didn’t answer theirs phones and never returned calls. Finally got someone to come out and give me a quote. Just hope they show up on Friday. Lol But I’ve been hearing stories like this from so many people who have tried to hire an electrician/plumber/roofer/whatnot. Hurry and pay ASAP. We got a quote to do some flooring and a few weeks after that the price had gone up ALOT. Materials are in short supply everywhere now. The price of things is going up also. Triteia |

Safelite told us it would be about 3 weeks. That appointment came and went, now pushed out another month. My Jenn Air downdraft range needs a new internal fan. The part is on order, and they have said it would take 2-4 months. No new models of this particular range are available anywhere! I am baking/roasting in a toaster/convection oven. We have ordered a second one, which happened to be available and it has already shipped. Fortunately, my stovetop is working, so there's that. I anticipate this will get worse. Quoting: OrthodoxMom Pacific Northwest here, also. Grocery stores seem fine. We're topping off our preps anyway. You never know what might happen. Just retired from the appliance repair industry. You have no idea how bad it's getting trying to order replacement parts. Not unusual for people to have to wait 2 weeks to 4 months. It's getting really bad out there. On top of that, there is a major shortage of new appliances...... |

User ID: 78212432 United States 08/18/2021 11:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is all I ever think about--will I be able to feed the kitties! I think I have more stockpiled for them than for us, lol Pet owners need to stock up on foods that cats, dogs and humans can eat - unless you want to eat dog and cat food when times get tough. Cats and dogs love tuna, salmon, chicken, etc, so if you're not a vegetarian, stock up on those foods and you can share with the babies if there's a pet food shortage. Further, as long as certain things (onions, garlic, chocolate) aren't it in, dogs can and do love to eat what you eat. Due to rapidly increasing labor, shipping and raw material costs brought on by the COVID 19 pandemic and other current causes it has become necessary for us to occasionally increase prices of some products. Due to this situation products will be invoiced at prevailing prices at the time of shipment. [link to shopwilsoncombat.com (secure)] In other news, my local Subway shop ran out of Bacon. Tomorrow it will be the food category. Quoting: Realist411 With people opting out, getting maimed, and keeling over from these shots, it’s only inevitable. The labor shortage, at least in part, is due to the COVID relief unemployment welfare and the "cancel rent" bullshit. I made the mistake of serving real tuna in a can to my two cats and they won't eat any other regular wet cat food. I order small cases from Amazon to try and keep the cost down. It will also serve as backup if times get tough. It's getting tough to order, though, with limited inventory already. I also heard on the car radio this afternoon that there are already shortages of toilet paper. Just the rumor will create a run on it. Kind of odd given that I’ve never seen that before even at one store, yet it was both stores… I notice the shortages here in Seattle as well. Product amounts on the shelves are all slimming down. It is getting more and more real. I buy oatmeal every time I am there now. Stock up a little more every day |

They turn their noses up at any other kind of canned. I've been finding the dry food though. Chewy.com consistently had the cat food my kitties favor, even when the two local supermarkets were out. It's simple to open an account with them, and they have great customer service. Free shipping over $49. |
