You get the idea. People keep going to the major chains that are dependent on huge high cost supply chains instead of local places with regional meats or local butchers that have relationships with local farms. Hit up a farmer's market and take home a dump truck of produce for like $80-$100.

Our bill is still in the $200-$300 a week range for 4. It's been that way for years. And I eat 1.5 - 2 pounds of meat PER DAY.

I've noticed the Ribeye is cheaper at my regular grocery store, not sure if it's comparing apples and oranges though. Costco tends to sell high quality and very thick cuts of beef.

True but the food that keeps you healthy are the high quality, lean meats and fish and fresh produce which is what is going up in price.

Processed food can be pricey too but meat is something most can't afford these days.
