Everywhere else seems to sell what could only be considered as pink slime. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78239842 Here's a tip: I buy about $40 worth of hamburger (apx. 10 lbs.) then fry it up with onion, pepper and celery. The veggies add bulk. Then I package recipe-sized servings in freezer bags. It's amazing how many meals I can make from 10 pounds of burger. Casseroles, spaghetti, etc. And usually, there are left-overs from each recipe to boot! This a great idea thank you. |

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

Quoting: Stumpknocker Over the last year, we have spent between $422-$465 per visit. We buy very similar items each time. My wife and I play a little game guessing how much the total will be to pass time while they are ringing us up. Last visit, she guessed 435 and I guessed 475. OUR BILL WAS $769 bucks! I blew a gasket. Things we bought but don't normally buy- Batteries- 1 pack each AA AAA D- $45 bucks Everything else was similar. The highest increases were for beef. High class idiot. Same guy who doesn't think his wife is seeing someone else, because she cooks and clean. You're a COVIDIOT. |

But they would take 20 Guess jeans off the rack and run out the front of the store. Half inside job. They would pick the gay sales associate guys and threaten to gang rape him if he didn't cooperate. But this is why Amazon and Walmart delivery will be the only shopping in the future. The only shoplifting I have ever witnessed personally was a group of black kids or 20 somethings all grab a bunch of alcohol at the local grocery store and just walk out with it right past the security guard on a Friday night. The security guard didn't do shit and no one else did either, which made me think it's a regular occurrence! |

Hate to break it to you but this party is just getting started. Biden wants to spend 6 trillion. Taxes going way way up. High taxes depress economic activity because businesses and consumers have less money to spend on job creation as well as goods and services. As a result tax revenues actually decline. Also, people and business will adjust their activities to avoid paying the crushing high taxes which will further depress economic activity. So they're going to have to print the 6 trillion out of thin air causing even more inflation. It's a death spiral into the Black Hole of Calcutta. |

They substitute items when prices rise. They figure when steak goes up people will switch to hamburger so they adjust the index accordingly. When hamburger gets too expensive they'll switch to hotdogs, then what? Dog food? |

It's only that so far all the freshly printed money has stayed in the markets, chasing imaginary profits. But now all that hot money is starting to breach the containment, with some of it seeping into the real world economy, driving up prices of anything tangible. It was inevitable this would happen sooner or later. NO-ONE has ever printed unlimited amounts of currency without utterly destroying the nation in the end. NO-ONE. Anonymous Coward User ID: 50189877 Greece 06/08/2021 03:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is an inflation in prices in many countries. This has to do with not only with the increased demands but also with the limited supplies either in raw materials or means of transportation. I would suggest, if anyone has a field, just create a vegetable garden, just in case...in best case scenario, you will have your own fresh vegies and in worst you will have food to keep you afloat. |

As we have a rather large stockpile, we try to buy things that are on discount--regardless of we need those items or not atm. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80403688 Of course, with many items that can't be done--milk and bread for instance. The large consumption items can still be had cheap--if you had time/stockpiles to wait. Those without large reserves of food, and barely adequate income are in for hard times. Some of my stockpile items, such as Spam, have gotten so damn expensive that we reduced our rotation times of stockpiles--some things have gone up a lot more than others--foods that store for long periods are amongst those. User ID: 80146778 United States 06/08/2021 04:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Another point I want to make. Quoting: Stumpknocker I travel for work virtually every week all over the US. My trip lengths are typically four days long. I use Oracle for our corporate expenses, which has tracked my expenses and my team members over the last 4 years In 2017, my average weekly expenses for travel were 1117.00. My team's (27 of us) expenses averaged 1110.22 per week. In 2019, our expenses averages 1178.59 per week. January of 2021 (back on the road after COVID), we averaged 1215.00 Over the last 90 days, we have averaged 1532.22! The per diem is the same...rental cars up 27%, taxes up 4.2%, hotels up 18.5%, airfare up 36%! Without sounding spoiled (being on the road is a bitch) we can longer afford to stay in the nicer places. We will be in Holiday Inn's, flying Spirit airlines and I am trying not to reduce the per diem. It is high, but it is a way I can compensate the team a bit...again traveling weekly is a bitch I just priced a rental car from LAX and it was more than DOUBLE what it was 12 months ago! I spent an hour shopping all agencies and could not get it lower than that. Airfare is much higher as well not to mention fuel costs in CA. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ESV Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Pretty soon import goods will stop coming in because the paper they receive in return for their work won't buy anything. Shelves and bellies will be empty. Wars might be fought on some level.
