My Life Was Timed Perfectly. Lived the 70's, 80's & 90's When I was Young & Now I'll Have Almost 50 Years of Normal.

I've thought that before about people around your age.

I was 21 when September 11 happened, it's been downhill since then.

I lived an hour away from New York city when it happened. I remember people freaked out on that New Year's Eve when there were fireworks.

They just keep getting more scared and scared...

It's like a -Bad End of the world- "B" movie started 16 months ago-- The clown world bad scenes just keep getting more and more Twilight zoned every day

I’ve had those same thoughts, but I can’t rejoice as this horror has impacted family that is young to include babies/toddlers. ** You are an example of a positive person. An example of a negative narcissist is: “I’m 85 years old & I can’t believe that I have to endure this at the end of my life!” ... That was a statement made to me. My ears perked up & this blast of realizing this is a summary of all the self serving decisions at every else’s expense, the continuous negativity & control throughout life. It’s the me, me, me mentality. Meanwhile normal people are thinking about the babies, teen & 30 somethings in the family & the WORLD. Actually everyone in the World & all those taking the injections. *** Also Hydrogel is in the long stick nasal swab & probably other tests.., But on that nasal swab pieces brake off & burrow in. Beware of paper masks.., Don’t know about cloth & beware of newer packaged foods. Some have said Energy Drinks. Now it’s time to rise up, warn others, pray & fight back Spiritually.., Light pierces darkness! Jesus is Power over Evil !!

Rona hit us hard. I was in the process of quitting my job and starting a business.

I graduated HS in 81. The draft ended. I believed I could do anything. I had a blast. I was a bartender in music clubs when I left college. I was very aware of the 60s and 70s because my aunts and uncle were not much older than me, and turned me on to all the best music. My uncle lived with us when I was 11-14 and he had a reel to reel with everything. Beatles, Stones, Deep Purple, Doobie Bros. stuff like that. I didn't tell my parents he grew weed on our roof in the gutters and behind the levee. LOL I have two grown children now, doing very well, self supporting responsible decent brilliant people. I DID want them to have children, but now I don't. SAD AS HELL that I would not bring another child into this world unless I could have private tutors and a farm with chickens, cows, gardens to sustain us. It's a shame what has happened. I live in a rural area now and prefer that to the city where I raised my children. We have a rodeo across the street twice a week and our community hasn't changed much since the pandemic. Only the stores require masks but we are far from a store, so it looks like life as usual.

I honestly think most people who haven’t been in a situation where they are dirt poor and about to be on the streets and don’t know what the fuck you are gonna do- those people that never took risks - those people lack character and experience. I’ve learned more about life than some of my elders who played it conservative

I definitely got fucked. Not only is the world full of psychosis, but nearly everybody is following absolute shit nutritional advice. I was 400 pounds last yeat. I ate less and moved like they told me and gained weight. Started ignoring them and doing my own research and found the culprit to be a cascading complicated issue stemming from premature oxidation of linoleic acid (omega 6) that becomes every modern disease under the sun through metabolic, oxidative, and nutritional distress.

Now I've lost 30 pounds on carnivore and ALL swelling is gone. ADHD is subsiding. My life begins now, 30 years in. My teen and young adult years were stolen from me by a shit paradigm.

I got to thinking (watching footie) when I saw the players 'take the knee' that racism was never really a subject in the 80's? Or maybe that is just my recollection of the 80's. Small (80k) town Ontario didn't seem to have any race issues. Best friend was black, lots of Sikh friends etc. Not a lot of Asians that I recall. Quite a few Indians (close to 6 Nations rez) and I don't recall anyone disliking another purely based on ethnicity.

The terms racism or accusing someone of "being a racist" was not in common use in the 1980s - you were instead instructed not to be "prejudiced." It wasn't until the 1990's that I started noticing they'd switched out "prejudiced" with "racist." Now you almost never hear prejudiced and only the harsher term. Such are the times we live in now.
