I agree. I could handle no electricity, it’d be hot this summer but at least we could have a decent future.

Born in 93, I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood and even in the early 2000s we were still using that term. I think “racist” became the norm around bushes 2nd term and when Obama was put into office.

I retired October 2014 at 63. Mostly because of layoff due to company I worked at for 25 years was sold. I looked at the numbers and the huge payout the owner selling gave his employees before the sell and my savings, I didn’t try to get employed again. I was done. I can live easily as long as I do not overbuy things I don’t need to survive. Other than this, I am good.

I lived the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s 90s. So I won’t complain, I experienced all those fantastic years. 9-11 was the end to the fun. All the three letter agencies grew and our freedoms slowly lost.

I too weep for the younger generation. I didn’t have children, so that is a bonus that they won’t have to endure, but I lack anyone to care for me later. So I must watch the dollars and the health.

Elvis, The Beatles and Stones, Stoner age (Doors, Jefferson Airplane, etc), Disco (yuck), and Big Hair 80s. Then the Wayne’s World 90s and grunge and rap crap.

This is what I cut my teeth on.
Been to many Dead concerts.
Got the tee-shirt.
Saw the scantily gauze covered nymphs frolicking in the aisles.
Several hundred hit’s if acid to accompany the visual.
It didn’t get much better than that.
Since Cobain died it has been a down- hill spiral.

if you're living with the convenience of electricity and indoor plumbing.. you still have it pretty good historically. Problem is.. to many live in a "virtual reality" today. The real world still is not that bad. Unplug, and get out and enjoy every day.

I plan my weeks on the weather. Looks like Tuesday and Saturday I can barbecue.. not too windy on Tuesday, I can fly my choppers in the backyard or throw some outdoor darts while listening to music.

It's always just me. Neighbors only go outside to smoke.

I pictured it more like Mad Max... maybe find a group to travel with, become friends, discover abandoned luxury cabins in the woods.

Instead everything just got really fucking stupid.

I'm about as far from rich as one can get. This will set you back about 50 bucks. Lots of fun. I have two that fly well outside. Both cost about the same. The other one is the Syma S39.

I would have like to have be born in the late 40s, post war. I would have been:

A child in the 1950s
A teenager in the 1960s
A young adult in the 1970s
A man in the 1980s
A mature man in the 1990s
An older man in the 2000s
An old codger in the 2010s

And in 2021 I would be ready to check out.

That works too. I liked being a young kid when video games first came out though. After that it was non stop. From cassettes to CD's... home computers... Technology was awesome then. Not so much now.

I'm one of the few people that thought the CD clubs in the 80's were a good deal. I used to hurry home from school to see if my CD's arrived in the mail. I would open up the package, put them in my Sony Boombox and listen to all of them. I ended up playing in many bands so I think it was a good investment. A lot cheaper than college.

I used to have the same Boom Box that Paul Shaffer used on Letterman. I found out years later when I saw it behind him on the show.

I was bummed that I didn't send this CD collection back in time and I had to pay for it. It was a pricier one. I ended up loving it. I still listen to the songs to this day.

'68 for me, like I say, I think '48 would have been better, but I did enjoy my time.

It's nice. The kind of song you could listen to around a campfire during the wind down part of the day. Holding your girl by the lake.

Before I got in my first cover band at age 15 I was the tambourine player. I have a picture of me in a parade sitting on a float behind their drummer with my tambourine.

There was an older kid in town that played drums. He showed me when I was young how to set up my first drum set. (I had set it up backwards and I didn't have any cymbals.)

By the time I was 18, he was a roadie in the band I was in.

I loved music back then. Now I just listen to the same songs from that time.

Maybe reincarnation doesn't factor in time. Maybe we can go back...

And not seeing faces, because they're required to wear masks when not at home.

Watch it. Enjoy it. Think about the people you see. If you are my age, 56, you will recall fond memories and be thankful that you are old enough to have experienced such a time as this.

If you are too young, the whole scene may appear odd to you.

Make observations as this is the basis of real science.

I've had families walk towards me on the sidewalk and then they all stop and pull up their masks up as I walk by. Like I'm covered in pox and coughing.

Now that doesn't happen anymore because they all wear their masks constantly.

I imagine many will for life. So stupid.
