My Dad sold his RESTAURANT and retired in mid-2019. Perfect timing. I still need to work though. I’m hoping to have enough to retire early and travel the world in cheap second tier countries where you can live well on like $2K a month.

I’m 51, and I’ve REALLY been awake the last 10+ years, and I think we’re headed down the shitter. There will be some resistance, but prob. nothing that can stop what’s coming. I’ve lived a great and fulfilled adult life with so many wonderful memories (but some crap, too - but we’ve all experienced) that include happy travel experiences and I’m fine if I can never travel again - I will NEVER take that shot. I’ve got my health, minor wealth and family whom I adore and I’m ready for the shit storm, although I worry about my son who’s not an adult yet and what this world will bring for him. Luckily he’s healthy, strong and has the same values. I pray things get better but I’m not counting on it.

i was 15 in 1984. i bought a dodge duster. took out the engine and a frame, went to andersons junk yard in massachusetts, hopefully someone knows the old cigar smoker, anyway i replaced the 6 cylinder with a 360,the a frame undercarriage and suspension, i laid a rubber patch out of highschool last day 300 feet long. i got a citation for alot, like 150 or something, then went home and got laid with smoking hot girl.

I was born in the early 1950s. I remember being in college in the early 1970s, reading a magazine in the periodical section and coming across the comment that to many people life had become upside down and backwards.
