My Life Was Timed Perfectly. Lived the 70's, 80's & 90's When I was Young & Now I'll Have Almost 50 Years of Normal.

I would have liked another couple decades of good life but I shouldn't be greedy. I feel bad for the young people living now. They got fucked.

Now as I get older, the world is falling into oblivion. It's like the whole world is dying at the same time I will.

I'd like to see Mother Nature do the reset rather than mankind though. Trust the Science? -"Nope."

Similar for me, I'm 48 now but was "partying" at about 12 (not that I recommend that).

I also started working at 12 in an ice cream shop where the Iranian owner paid me cash under the table.

Bought my first car at 15 and had my learner's permit. Snuck out with my 15 year old friend one night and we drove to Balboa Point (the young person hangout near Newport Beach, CA) and we drove around with just me having my learner's permit!

At age 16 we started driving down to Tijuana on the weekends to party at the gigantic nightclubs. The age to get in was supposed to be 18 but they always let us in. They had sand volleyball courts on the roof and we'd be drinking and paying volleyball at night, lit up by the lights of Tiajuana.

As you can tell, I didn't have much adult supervision as a kid, LOL...but I always had money because by my teens I was waiting tables. I'd get back from Tijuana at 5am and work an all day shift at the breakfast house starting at 6am. It was easy at that age.

I am glad for the memories. I was born in the late 50s/early60s (not comfortable giving my birth year).My formative years were the late 60s and the 70s. I am glad we had better times and excellent music and a much better culture.

That was all ruined though, through manipulating and controlling the music industry, the media, Hollywood, all the mainstream news sources, etc. Brainwashing the masses through the mass media, with the help of fluoride, toxic chemicals, toxic environment, etc.

Actually things started deteriorating in the late 70s. By the 80s things were rapidly getting worse. But still the 1980s and 1990s were very good in comparison to what we have now.

MY family owned a semi-pro ball team and those fine fellows got me chewing tobacco when I was 9. Started smoking cigs at 11...lol...at $1.00 a carton. If a kid did that today there would Child and Family Services called in. I'm 52.

I want to retire into a cabin and write for a living. My biggest obstacle is figuring out who I would be writing to though. I don't know this world anymore.

I just went next door to where they are building a house, and the contractor recognized me and complemented my work over the years...He used to bring me his fleet for repairs...He said everyone compliments my work and mentions my name around town...it's nice to be recognized and it's far from the first time, though it has been awhile lol

In Brantford, smallish town, SOuthern Ontario. My HS was divided between jocks, preppies, rockers, mods, a few SHARPs, new wavers etc. Often at times not getting along with one another to the point of brawls. March 19, 1982 everyone (and I mean everyone) showed up with a black arm band and a truce was called for a week, which lasted many more. WHy? Randy Rhoads died. ANd his guitar playing was enjoyed by everyone.
