The problem is that he as contradicted Scripture.

That's the point. Jesus said He did not know nor did the angels know. Only the Father has that information. Yet, many Christians down through the centuries have fallen into the trap of date setting. Why???

I just watched this video, it was posted on another thread here. My heart goes out to Harold Camping and we must remember that he is our brother.

He might be wrong about this May 21st, but I believe he's really sincere and he really believes this. He really thinks that he's doing a good work, and maybe in a way he is if some people have come to Jesus as a result of this whole thing......it's not my place to judge him either way.

But to watch him talk, I see a man who is sincere in his belief. I know that he will be crushed if it doesn't happen on that date, and I'll have compassion for him because we have all been wrong at time in our own lives too.

People are sincerely wrong at times and I'm sure God understand that. As many have noted, we grieve for those who may wake up crushed on May 22 because they placed their trust in Harold.

Aside from that, I now understand - as a result of what God has said to me - that this man had no special insight from God to give this teaching.

Yea, it's sad alright. I'm kinda hoping that it does happen in a way, but in my heart I don't believe that it will.

I was thinking about the insight just an hour ago too. I thought, if we were meant to know, or if we could know, wouldn't God have spoken this to the prophets? Surely He would if we were meant to know.

But I have not heard one prophet speak about this.......just Harold Camping and his followers and Harold got this date from mathematical equations, he didn't hear it from the Lord or get any prophetic dream about it or anything like that. Just his mathematical equations.

Atleast that's what I understand it to be.

What do you think the world would be like If Jesus had said something like... I wont be back for at least 2000 years!

He also said that the dead he was talking about would no longer have conscious existence. That is not true!

Yes, living each day like it could be the last one is wise on so many levels. Human nature is what it is. If someone taught that the rapture was not for another 1000 years - while it is not true for everyone - i think it is fair to say some would lose hope and others would be very tempted to go astray.... thinking they will have time to repent!

What about that person in the video who only had the car paid up till May 21???

At some point Jesus will return. WHy not now? All the signs are there. Has not everyone been waiting for this day for thousands of years?

People are angry with Camping because they truthfully do not want that day to come.

Once4all, in your words of claiming to be a prophet you are exercising arrogance and ego. In your replies to others you continue to act as though you are authority of God's Master Plan. With each headline you post, you are deceiving God's children who are innocent and naive. People like you who delve in trickery have a special place, separated from those of the Light. You speculate about Harold. I am sure you are very much like him. He has studied the bible for 50 years and can spew out bible verses just like you. He has his beliefs and has voiced them openly. Just like you. It is possible that he is leading many people astray, just like you. I offer compassion to all of God's children, because I do not walk in their shoes. At least Harold speaks for himself, not digging up news headlines with names and claiming to know their lot in life. He is actually a better messenger than you. You have some serious problems and I pray to God in Heaven that you do not deceive those of the Light. Many people look outside of God for someone to follow. It is so sad that they do not look to God himself for their answers. So you try to generate a following here on this forum. Harold Camp may be a better Christian than you. You say in blasphemy that Harold doesn't really know. Admit it darkness, you do not really know either.
