Huntsville, Alabama was number 1 for the cities people never regret moving to.

If earth changes and 12000 year cycles weren't a thing, Northern California and the redwoods would be my choice, otherwise in the US North Eastern Texas, or Ozark region of Missouri would probably win. Though I do like some snow, so mountain areas best choices.

I agree young people need a city and rural is for families, but the nu's he gave is wrong.

A city is 10000 people upwards in my mind. Young people need some people to meet, and get married to, primarily, it isn't about jobs in factories, which usually are more rural to begin with.

Avoiding 100000 or more people unless you're in college, is normal to me. At any age.


If it wasn't for climate change and cycles, Portland Oregon has beautiful historical buildings but so does the Lower Mainland Vancouver area so wouldn't swap.

Think Idaho's beautiful. It has lots of areas that remind me of the Okanagan.

In fact one could say if I had to leave the Okanagan region in BC, to the US, would simply go to the Okanagan region in the US because its beautiful and love Tonasket, that's my type of place.

Tonasket Wa is one the nicest areas in North America other than Okanagan BC.

OR, FL, CT, NY on 6 month to 12 month projects.

The only state I ever truly regretted moving to was California. I moved there for a job and lived there 3 years. Worst 3 years of my life.

I lived in Vermont for 5 yrs 94=99 , while its great for outdoors and food

For the political climate alone, I don’t regret moving to Ohio.

I was based in Oregon for a good chunk of my young to mid adult life.

I found it enjoyable, for the most part....until 2016 to now.

I left there for Utah 4 years ago. It's quite different here in many ways, but the overall vibe is exponentially better, for me.

The only thing I can honestly say I miss is the proximity to the ocean and big trees.

Boise has an unusual number of corporate headquarters
so many poeple relocating there are company transfers,
they rarely see what it's like to apply for jobs there.
