Because if the government there ever turns Democrat, they would probably tax everyone to fix up Jackson. I could see a big leftist backlash being possible there if they ever get in power, and they would make the white people poor because there's not a lot of industry to pay the taxes they would impose. |

Alabama is so back woods ..many jailed for marijuana for medical use, corrupt hoped ole boy network, ignorant Alabama citizens ...beyond belief!! But...things hardly changed in our small community with covid. Nobody attacked me when I didn't wear masks, etc..I didn't stay home either. Fuck all that. People believe in personal liberties more here. I do love that. There's good and bad every state. Btw this is quarter breed gal. Still locked out of my fucking account ( for nothing !) I lived here all my life, backward not really, pretend backward oh yes. Good Old boys are generally democrats. It took investigation a long time to nail them but lord thanks for help we got them almost all gone from the government, now if we could get them out of cities and town around it would be much better. Every state has backward people, no matter the state, even the ones who claim they are not. I really do not care about having a lot of money, you can not take it with you when you leave this earth, and that goes for everyone. I never have cared what color people are, I do care about what kind of people they are, it not the color of their skin, it is the actions of their hearts that show what they are about. They are black-hearted and are not someone you want to have anything to do with, they may have the finest cloths and other thing, but their hearts are black as night. Even when I was a small child some people from out of state would get lost, which is easy on our road out in the countryside, they loop around if you do not know the signs to turn, you will be back where you started. If they were nice we help them, if they were not nice we help the loop around and smiled and waved to them leaving, yep a big smile. You know what we did for fun, read, we read everything we could get our hands on. When we got electricity, we watch the operas and ballet Swan Lake was the first one and all the others that were shown, musicals were great. In school, we studied all other states of the Union plus other countries and their demographics, we rented films from these about these countries to flesh out more about them and their customs so no we weren't backwards until they got into changing our school under Carter. Every thing from sciences and chemistry plus the physics and Trigamotry was taken out, so it didn't help us, it harmed us. Carter is a NWO guy, he was picked by them. He put in the national Teachers associations, it was just our schools, it was all the schools. A lot of people still read, some people wouldn't know a book if it bites them, of course they would run from the sight of it. I used to collect old book and still have many of all kinds, TV and today's there is much talent in the writers. After hearing some of the actors and actresses singing voices, they should try to update some old time musical movies or make some others, even my children like them. I listened to them sing and thought why have they wasted their gift that could be used in this way. They have tried everything else and mostly felled so, with a little try it may help. There are so many to chose from also. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

User ID: 81075176 United States 11/03/2022 03:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I watch the analogs of those but with the top ten cities people never regret moving to. Quoting: Hari_Seldon Huntsville, Alabama was number 1 for the cities people never regret moving to. I was there recently. It has charm for sure, the four seasons, fertile ground, the mountains, good people. Downsides: 1. 5% state income tax (it's 0% just some miles north in Tennessee) 2. The airport doesn't go anywhere, you have to fly into Nashville - or worse, Atlanta Lists like this are difficult because everyone is different. I myself like Florida because it seems to be the freedom state and year round good weather, but the soil sucks and it's vulnerable to hurricanes. The best places to go right now might in fact be outside the USA. Just sayin'. Like here at 8000 ft in the Andes. I grew up in Montgomery Alabama in the 60's. Have never been to Huntsville but I have heard lots of nice things about it. While living in Encinitas, Ca and wearing an Alabama sweatshirt an older guy with a USC cap approached me in a grocery store and said his son had just graduated from USC and had moved to Huntsville for a job with Raytheon. The guy said his son loved living there. Cheap (just imagine coming from SoCal to Alabama), nice people and he had a great job. Fwiw, Huntsville has the highest per capita of PhD's living there other than Los Alamos. This is due to the Redstone Arsenal being there and all the defense companies that surround it. I moved away from Alabama in the late 70's after college but I often think about moving back but I doubt if I ever will. My sister still lives there and that would be the only reason. People talk about Alabama like it is still the 60's but you will not find any better people than those that live there if you live in Bham or I guess Huntsville. Florida is just too hot and the hurricanes seem to come often. Louisiana (NOLA) is a piece of shit state/city and it's the only place I have lived that I would never move back to. Fwiw, I have lived most of my adult life in Atlanta, 15 years in San Diego, a few years in NOLA, a couple years in Mississippi and a year in Houston. I now live just outside of Charlotte, NC. If I could afford it I would move back to San Diego. Last Edited by Hari_Seldon on 11/03/2022 03:40 PM |

I am from Cuyahoga Falls in the northeast part of the state Hey Beeches, did you ever listen to WOWO Ft Wayne late at night while you were stoned? No, is that station still around? have you ever heard of Ghoulardi who was on local tv and radio out of Cleveland? that was my area back when, Akron too, for radio Ghoulardi was the funniest radio character ever - inna stoned kind of way: At his show's peak, Ghoulardi scored 70 percent of the late-night audience.Fans sent up to 1,000 pieces of mail a day.The Cleveland Police Department attributed a 35 percent decline in juvenile crime to the Friday night show. Anderson quipped, "Nobody likes to steal the car in a blizzard." Ghoulardi often made fun of targets he considered "unhip", including bandleader Lawrence Welk, Mayor of Cleveland Ralph Locher, and Cleveland local television personalities such as singer/local talk show host Mike Douglas, children's hosts Barnaby and Captain Penny, local newscaster Bill Jorgensen, and news analyst and commentator Dorothy Fuldheim (whom he called "Dorothy Baby"). According to Anderson, Mike Douglas refused to book Anderson as a guest on his talk show The Mike Douglas Show after it began nationwide broadcasting, and also refused to speak to Anderson for years (though Douglas denied any animosity). Ghoulardi also lampooned the bedroom communities of Parma, Ohio, which he often called "Par-ma?!" or "Amrap" (Parma backwards), and Oxnard, California, saying "Remember...Oxnard!" and featuring a raven named "Oxnard" on his show. Ghoulardi unmercifully jeered Parma for what he considered its conservative, ethnic, working-class "white socks" sensibility, making fun of such local customs as listening to polka music and decorating front lawns with pink plastic flamingoes and yard globe ornaments. The Ghoulardi program even aired a series of taped skits called "Parma Place", featuring Anderson and Schodowski playing stereotypical ethnic Parma residents in a parody of the then-popular prime time soap opera Peyton Place. While the "Parma Place" skits were well received by the public, the mayor of Parma and other local politicians complained to station management, especially after learning that the spectators at a Parma vs. Parma Heights high school basketball game had thrown white socks onto the court. Under pressure, the station forced Anderson to discontinue the "Parma Place" skits. Anderson openly battled TV-8 management. Schodowski recalled that "station management lived in daily fear as to what he might say or do on the air, because he was live." In spite of his solid ratings and profitability, they worried that Ghoulardi was testing too many television boundaries too quickly, and tried to rein in the character. Anderson responded by, among other things, detonating plastic action figures and plastic model cars sent in by viewers with firecrackers and small explosives on air, once nearly setting the studio on fire. As Anderson was already under contract with TV-8 as a booth announcer when Ghoulardi first aired, Storer Broadcasting had to pay him, so Anderson cared little about whom he offended. Anderson was also reprimanded for riding his motorcycle through the program director's office, and for staying at a close, late-running Friday night Cleveland Browns game long after his show's 11:30 p.m. start time.
