These are amazing images. And not's just a few isolated locales.

Who would have thought the most dramatic footage of IDA would be in NJ and NYC?

I don't know about that most these flooded homes in NJ and NYC are still going to be able to live in. Many people in Louisiana have homes that are totally destroyed.

Looks like Boston, Providence & Worchester areas might be the next hard hit area in the coming hours. They've been getting steady rain for quite awhile now with heavier stuff moving into the area.

"We have too many areas where the flooding has gotten so bad that cars are stuck and we have bodies underwater," Passaic Mayor Hector Carlos Lora said in a video posted to Facebook. "We are now retrieving bodies."

Quick update from around NJ’s capital city. There have been at least 75 people trapped in cars needing water rescues tonight and the Delaware hasn’t even crested yet! All the major roads have some type of issue at this point including the interstates being closed in places. Yes, water will go down, probably quickly, but the stranded cars all then need to be towed (since they’re just floating around everywhere). Then there’s people’s cars who stayed home but still got flooded. The homes themselves. Businesses. None of that was even touched on yet. Many places will be uninhabitable come daylight and this is just a small area where I am. The rest of the state got hit too, so this is just replicated over and over. Add a continuing throughout NYC, NY state, etc. This is massive. Transportation is shut down, commerce, everything is impacted. If you’re looking for a trigger for the suggested September crash, this is probably it. Right now I would say the price tag will be higher than Sandy.

Agreed. LI dodged a huge bullet and was already better equipped to handle this shit. NYC is going to be like night of the living dead for the next few weeks. The amount of damage is going to boggle the mind.

What the heck is wrong with these people?

There have clearly been constant warnings about flash flooding and yet these morans insist on driving around...
no sympathy for them, they are beyond saving.

That was so last week.
This week Democrats report that FDNY, "let 911 happen," and that "It's the fault of the Conservative firemen that California even has wildfires!"

NYC has issued a travel ban until 5am Thursday morning. No non-emergency vehicles allowed on the roadways.

A little late for that. Could've done that 6 hours ago and saved lives. SMH

It's all fun & games until the Dogman stands up

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit! What a ride!"

In times of trouble, I ask myself, "What would Sarah Conner do?"

Just the combined cost of replacing the now 100% disposable lithium battery packs in all the underwater (or soon to be) Teslas in the northeast flood states may exceed the cost of the worst ever recorded natural disaster in a few American states.

And we thought that the prices of new and used cars were off the charts before Ida...
