Severe Weather Outbreak, Including Large Hail and Tornadoes, Expected in the Ohio Valley, Northeast Sunday

A significant outbreak of severe weather including tornadoes, damaging straight line wind gusts and large hail, is targeting the Ohio Valley and Northeast on Sunday.

Powerful storms have already produced baseball and grapefruit sized hail Saturday in South Dakota and Nebraska. In addition, hail and damaging winds were reported Saturday in Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky as separate clusters of storms developed throughout the Midwest. All together, the Storm Prediction Center notes that over 100 reports of severe weather were observed throughout the U.S. on Saturday.
