Amazing that people who are allegedly intelligent still believe in the spinning ball. :marsrotate: Ahem. ahum https://twitter.com/_/status/935644892721762305 Funny, but honestly most flat earthers regard the "flat earth society" as a shill organization. Lots of them think that Mars is just a light in the sky and you can't see any detail if you zoom in on it. That's what a ton of them actually believe, they think images and videos from telescopes like mine are all fake CGI. Sadly, that trash video of a completely out of focus Mars through a crappy P1000 camera has more views than any of my Mars videos which are far superior in quality. Sounds like someone who spend big buks on a telescope insted of a p1000 that one can bring anywhere! Laugh out loud |

It's not nearly as capable when it comes to shooting the planets, ISS or other astronomical targets as my telescope. The big bucks on the scope are worth it. That video shows things out of focus. This is what Mars looks like in time lapse with the scope, properly focused: The P1000 cannot compete. Don't even get me started about the deep space performance of my scope compared to a P1000. |

The photo's you posted are edited photos.. They're stacked and tonemapped from the raw high bit depth FITS files, but that doesn't mean "fake" nor did I add anything to the images, it's all there in the raw data. Would you like me to upload the raw FITS files for you? I doubt you could even handle them properly. I also live streamed the acquisition of some of those images, totally unprocessed and unedited: Show me how you calculate the distance to the sun..? Quoting: ACI'd have to dig up my measurements from last year, I haven't had time to put it into a video yet. That's on my to-do list. That wasnt even me. When people are afraid they panic! :) You think I'm afraid of you? You failed at trying to accuse me of editing my photos to make them look better than a pathetic P1000 could do with those targets, and now you're playing little sock puppet games between your mobile and PC. You screwed up when you continued your own line of thought on a different IP. Oops. Guess you panicked? |

As a child I was watching when Challenger exploded, I was pretty traumatized and like anything traumatic I blocked it and my love of spaceflight out. This is the first time I've had an interest since then. I guess it was a bit of healing for me, even though NASA has been doing it for years. Strange and unexpected. Quoting: Daniel's Window Same here - I saw that one too. I saw it in Orlando and was upset and prayed for weeks. Then I found out all of the passengers are still alive. If I see one more asshole claiming that Claude Onizuka is actually his dead brother or that Carl McNair is actually his dead brother Ron McNair, or that Professor Michael Smith from the University of Wisconsin is actually astronaut Michael Smith, I might just lose my shit and risk my YouTube channel by proving it wrong. You see, I wrote a program to do facial recognition on the so-called "survivors" to see if they're really the dead astronauts. They're not. And yes, the program works just fine at recognizing people even in pictures taken decades apart. The problem is, before I could release it, YouTube changed the rules on facial recognition. They specifically banned anyone from doing facial recognition of people in YouTube videos, so when I did facial recognition on Professor Michael Smith as he's confronted by a conspiracy theorist, I would be breaking the rules as they currently are written. Nevertheless, they are NOT the same people as the dead astronauts. |
