Blue Origin Launch Webcast

Live now, about an hour and a half before launch. Today is the day Blue Origin attempts their first crewed launch of New Shepard, with both the youngest and oldest people to ever reach space on board.

Yes, though Blue Origin is notorious for delaying their launches. We'll see how it goes, this will be their first time loading a crew on and I'm sure they're going to be extra careful with Wally Funk.

I’ve set aside all my cynicism and I’m excited to see this.

Hopefully all goes well.

I’m not a fan of Bezos and I’m pretty sure they’re using Amazon as a front for The Evil Empire and he’s probably going up there to release nanobots that will hide Nibiru but still, at any rate..,very excited. LOL!

Interesting, you have to email them to buy a ticket, they aren't publicly announcing the price. Hell, I bet they put you under an NDA before they even tell you the price. Yikes. I bet they're not competitive with Virgin and that's why.

That was the winning bid, not the actual price. That's on the same order of magnitude as the cost of a seat on an orbital flight. Now that was for charity and the chance to be on the first flight, but the regular ticket price should not be nearly that high. If it is, it makes almost no sense to buy it. For a few bucks more you get a seat on SpaceX flight to orbit and for a small fraction of that you can do a suborbital flight with Virgin.

If I was 57 year old richest man in world, I would not at that age take this risk. To many years of living the life everyone dreams of.

I might do it if I had cancer or something. Otherwise I’d wait till I was 90 or so.
