Can you explain why you think there is a shortage? I mean, are you hearing rumors, but can still purchase things, or is there less meat available for some reason?

Also, do you have any specifics as to why, exactly, there is a shortage? There should be more meat available, not less, and the prices should be down slightly, since farmers are trying to make up for lower sales, due to eateries having been closed for so long.

Or is something else happening here?

When it comes to gluttony and obesity, it's good to be "judgmental." If only for health reasons, if not for the reason of fatness negatively affecting things like hospital beds or the size of passenger seats in a jet plane.

FOR YEARS WE'VE BUILT A DIRECT TO CUSTOMER MODEL SELLING OUR PORK, POULTRY, BEEF, LAMB, CABRON, ETC RIGHT OFF THE FARM AND WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HIGHER PRICED THAN GROCERY STORES UNTIL THE LAST YEAR OR SO. NONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS HAS EVER COMPLAINED BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE GETTING A SUPERIOR PRODUCT, SUPPORTING A LOCAL FAMILY, HELPING KEEP A VIABLE FARM IN OPERATION IN THEIR COMMUNITY WITH ALL THE PERKS THAT COME FROM IT.

I WISH THAT I COULD CONVINCE MORE PEOPLE TO STRIKE UP A RELATIONSHIP WITH A FARMER DIRECTLY. MOST OF THEM WOULD LOVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN AND HAVE YOU GET THE PRODUCT FROM THEM PERSONALLY. ALL IT TAKES IS A VISIT AND EVEN IF YOU LIVE IN THE CITY YOU COULD GO IN WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS OR NEIGHBORS AND SPLIT UP A LARGER BUY WHEN YOU GET HOME.

The farmland topsoil is so depleted of topsoil it can only grow gmo crops with the help of fertilizer. It isn't even fertile enough for cow pasture, most of it.
