National Pork Board
The government offered to help livestock producers locate contractors skilled in killing herds or flocks of animals and to provide cost-share funding for their disposal because the coronavirus pandemic has shut down packing plants and reduced consumer demand. The National Pork Board held a webinar on Sunday that discussed step by step “emergency depopulation and disposal” of hogs.

They were also rationing sugar, the true cause of most health problems. Most health issues that are blamed on certain proteins and fats are caused by carbs.

Also, some issues blamed on meat are actually caused by the way the meat is cooked. Don't eat a lot of charred meat or fried meat.

Eating red meat is a death wish. It will kill you. But first, it makes you fat and ugly.

Frozen meat doesn't keep forever. Unless you have it in a zub zero deep freeze, which apparently you don't, it will begin to go bad in less than a year.

To maintian the sub zero freeze, you needed electricity. Good luck with that one in the next big one.

So this is why people who live in cold places might do better than people in hot places when the shit hits the fan. Food.

Is it easier to prep in under 32 F? or over 80F? Pick one. I'd say cold. If you have the clothes to keep you warm 24/7 cold would be better than extreme heat survival.

The restaurants are opening back up and buying all the beef, to get ready for open Spring and Summer. Rising the prices in some places and temporary shortages.

wife works for a meat plant here in massachusetts, they are always shorting orders, alot of the meat comes from australia, so covid put a huge backlog on delivery times due to manpower shortages and here at the plant, the cutting jobs arent exactly high paying and its all temp agency work so around here its mostly hispanic labor, so they havent come back to work and cant find new employees as unemployment is paying better than them so now ones willing to stay in a refrigerated room 6-8 hours for $13 an hour anymore.

A couple of Burger Kings in my area of TX had no beef. Only Chicken and Fish available to complete orders.

Where do you live? Your address?

My back yard looks over a 150 acre cattle ranch, where I also get my beef from, freezer is packed full. In the not too distant future I'll have chickens as well. I have a small, but productive raised bed garden and will in the next few weeks start preparing a 20' x 30' ground level plot for corn, okra....etc.

I live where I live because I saw this coming 20 years ago. The one thing to remember is.... moderation in all things. You can't prepare for all contingencies.
