I suddenly felt very cold after reading this post, knowing (from the title) Monkey Flowers passed on 7th April.

Don't mind this typo please. In most of my posts, some bot (I suppose) is adding one typo, usually in the first sentence (this is what I think I have noticed thusfar).

I feel strangely sad... without ever having known Monkey Flower.

She started this thread almost 1 year ago to the day. I still miss her very much. But I am lucky that I was very close to her as a adult, so I know what her thoughts and feelings were on most things. So in that way she is very much with me all the time. Plus her grand daughter very much shares her twisted sense of humor so I have little glimpse of that as well. The pain of losing her has mostly subsided. I've been fortunate in my grief that I have been able to walk some others through their loss of a parent. Her unique view of the world comes through in all of her sons as well as her grandchildren. She is very much missed but her legacy is strong and her love cascades through our family.

I think about her every day. I shall always miss not having more time to love

So glad that you had a wonderful mom like her. God Bless your family. It's great to hear that her sense of humor will live on.

Monkey Flower gave me positive karma one time and signed it with love -- much love. Even though she didn't even know me. I have a feeling she was that sort of person in real life. I feel blessed to have that little snippet of her to remember her by.

WE NEED HER LOVE AS AN EXAMPLE....EVERYDAY. UH.

Last year early in the year I was having A very hard time and monkeyflower was so nice to me and prayed for me and I just cry thinking about it. Such love.

Would I be that compassionate that I’m dying would I still pray for someone else going through a hard time but isn’t near death

It really moved me

And I’m crying again out of gratitude

Almost a year. Tomorrow really. I'm bumping this for the olde skool peeps and to tell a bit of a tale. I did a long call in with a buddy from here on radio in MIssouri. We both chatted about a friend of mine who I had him interview. An hour after I got off the phone my son called me to let me know that Peter had passed.
