UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I am overwhelmed by so many loving responses! I cried at things I read, watched and listened to. I even laughed some. I will try very hard to respond to as many people as I can. I get tired kind of easy these days. I usually just have catnaps, with my kitty snuggled close and my loving husband about 20 feet away. I do however spend time meditating. More quite soon . |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs There is a healing in happiness. In surrounding yourself with everything that excites you or brings you joy, from flowers, gardening, solutions, talents you wish to continue and explore, develop, improve. Gratitude and prayers. But also, the heart institute is a good place. Synchronizing your heart with your mind, brief meditations where you place your palms over your heart and slow your breathing and then in a few minutes, think of your loved ones, or even someone who is troubling to you but what you really appreciate about them. Be generous and appreciate them, and think as if you already are surrounded by the cure or healing, with senses active, touch, taste, smell, scenary, your whole healhty image of yourself and bring in those joys, the things that make you happy, and bring that happiness. It really boosts your immune. And then if you have faith, give thanks to God. Also healing herbs, curcumin, with black pepper extract, and numerous others. The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist. Do not go quietly into the good night. Rage Rage against the dying light! |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs This poem is for you, but also for your beautiful family and loved ones. Hope it gives them some extra comfort and courage too. Light across the Sea Sometimes our life just crashes and the walls come tumbling down everything lost once so precious makes laughter lose it's crown don't waste your time just grieving over times that could have been don't blame yourself for ignoring the things you should have seen life is just to precious please don't let it fall apart and you'll see, in those ashes are moments that touched your heart maybe we are all just fishes swimming in this big wide sea rushing off into the darkness on the run and never free but somewhere in the darkness there's a light across the sea all you need to do is reach out and find that light in me Much love to you my sweet friend. Hugs and prayers. |

I've been thinking about end of life a lot lately, don't know why but I think I'm going to start writing a short journal for each of my loved ones to leave when I'm gone. Just know that you've done well and you are loved. God Bless. |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I’ve been a manager for hospice and I’m glad that you have utilized them. So many think that it’s the very end, and I have had so many people that I’ve cared for be on hospice for many years. Quoting: Ohio chic I’ve seen people, because of the hospice care that was provided, get better and no longer need the hospice service. Whatever your need is, please know that if you have any questions, I’m always available to ask and I will also pray for you and yours. Bless your decision, because I know it was a difficult decision to make. Lord, Please give this family the strength to endure the heaviness of this life. Keep this family strong through the storm. Give them the guidance and wisdom they need to navigate through this time in their lives. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen Do not let fear into your heart. Mindset is utmost importance! Never give up the fight. The Lord works wonders to those who rely on him. I am praying for you and for a full recovery. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78117701 Prayers to you. May the great comforter Jesus Christ bring you peace and comfort during your journey. May the spirit lead you to know Christ and his gift of salvation and freedom. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78172108 God speed. Praying you receive complete peace through Jesus Christ. Speak his name and invite him to reveal himself to you. A Minister passing through his church Quoting: Vision Thing In the middle of the day, Decided to pause by the altar To see who come to pray. Just then the back door opened, And a man came down the aisle, The minister frowned as he saw the man Hadn’t shaved in a while. His shirt was torn and shabby, And his coat was worn and frayed, The man knelt down and bowed his head, Then rose and walked away. . In the days that followed at precisely noon, The preacher saw this chap, Each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch pail in his lap. Well, the minister’s suspicions grew, With robbery a main fear, . He decided to stop and ask the man, ‘What are you doing here?’ The old man said he was a factory worker And lunch was half an hour Lunchtime was his prayer time, For finding strength and power. I stay only a moment Because the factory’s far away; As I kneel here talking to the Lord, This is kinda what I say: . ‘I JUST CAME BY TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS BEN, JUST CHECKING IN TODAY.’ . The minister feeling foolish, Told Ben that it was fine. He told the man that he was welcome To pray there anytime. ‘It’s time to go, and thanks,’ Ben said As he hurried to the door. Then the minister knelt there at the altar, Which he’d never done before. His cold heart melted, warmed with love, As he met with Jesus there. As the tears flowed down his cheeks, He repeated old Ben’s prayer: . ‘I JUST CAME by TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I’VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME, JUST CHECKING IN TODAY.’ . Past noon one day, the minister noticed That old Ben hadn’t come. As more days passed and still no Ben, He began to worry some. At the factory, he asked about him, Learning he was ill. The hospital staff was worried, But he’d given them a thrill. . The week that Ben was with them, Brought changes in the ward. His smiles and joy contagious. Changed people were his reward. The head nurse couldn’t understand Why Ben could be so glad, When no flowers, calls or cards came, Not a visitor he had. . The minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse’s concern: No friends had come to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn. Looking surprised, old Ben spoke up And with a winsome smile; ‘The nurse is wrong, she couldn’t know, He’s been here all the while.’ Everyday at noon He comes here, A dear friend of mine, you see, He sits right down and takes my hand, Leans over and says to me: . ‘I JUST CAME BY TO TELL YOU, BEN, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN . I THINK ABOUT YOU ALWAYS AND I LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, AND SO BEN, THIS IS JESUS, JUST CHECKING IN TODAY .’ . monkeyflower I fell asleep early last night so I am on GLP even before dawn. I can't tell you how stunned I am to see your post. Such a beautiful and kind soul you are.. I am proud to have you on my friend's list. So many heartfelt messages. Such love comes your way. UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I Am Standing Upon The Seashore Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46817976 I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says; "There, she is gone!" "Gone where?" Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There, she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout; "Here she comes!" And that is dying. Beautiful poem by Henry Van Dyke, sometimes attributed to Victor Hugo. This poem is stunningly beautiful. I shall read it often. I will also write it down for my loved ones. Thank you so much. . |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Oh someone here posted a good link to some guy who studied the dieing process, and he said that we all have to try to let go of everything before we go. So old grievances, all those things we cling to, the people the things - we have to really try and let them go before - so that our movement forward can be as calm and deliberate as positive. It might be difficult but do try (if that is the direction your headed of course). I will pray that you are conscious, centred, calm and poised - to make the next step which ever direction that will be. May loving, steadying arms be extended towards you. |

At the end of life the important things really come into focus. The only thing we take with us into the afterlife are our love of others, our friendships, and our fond memories. Please be sure that you have put God first in your life, and that you trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He is your salvation, and your life.
