If the thermal energy of the rocket fuel burn meets no resistance then there will be no thrust produced.

Rockets are the most inefficient of internal combustion engines - much energy lost to sound and fire - looks and sounds good but it's actually shite. The larger the nozzles the more inefficient they become.Thats why they can't fly straight up .That's also why the three stage rocket nozzles decrease in size - they can cope with decreasing pressure better.

The excuse of closed /open systems just blah blah blah ,same as the silly nasa rocket equation Astromut sounds off about. That's just math salad based on "wot if a rocket could work in a vacuum".

Can't really prove anything with this video. I'm not sure the earth is flat but also i'm not sure its round. How can you trust any of these institutions/gov when they all lie? No atmospheric pressure means rocket nozzle cannot produce thrust - mass flow needs to encounter resistance to produce thrust.

Rocket fuel with own oxidizer is useless unless there is pressure outside nozzle.
