First off, there are no live views ISS..I have tracked this for one hour...big fail...track it yourself for an hour. No way is it live.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83559551

Not true. I've tracked ISS myself and live streamed it.

If you get a sufficiently powerful laser pointer and a night pass near 90 degrees altitude, you can shine your laser at ISS and it will indeed show up on stream.

 Quoting: Astromut

so you can point your little laser pointer at a helium balloon they are telling us is the ISS, that's nice. the cgi images of earth that are supposedly broadcast from the ISS are made at NASA. LIES all of bullshit

Not a helium balloon...

And given that lasers fired by amateurs on the ground do appear in the live video, it's clearly not CGI either...

Re: All you Flat Earthers & No ROCKET in space people. Nasa Live Stream - Earth From Space : Live Views from the ISS
Rocket engines are propelled by the reactive force of thrust.
No atmospheric pressure means rocket nozzle cannot produce thrust - mass flow needs to encounter resistance to produce thrust.

Rocket fuel with own oxidizer is useless unless there is pressure outside nozzle.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79547306

yet missiles fly faster and longer at high altitudes where there is less air than low. Outside pressure is not required. The rocket fuel produces an explosive reaction in all directions. Part of it pushes on the rocket and moves it forward. It doesn't have to push on anything external to the rocket.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80141479

Gas expanding in a vacuum does no work. Hence no thrust.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80555854

Not quite. You are referring to Joules-Thompson Expansion but you are incorrectly applying it. It only applies to CLOSED systems. Gas expanding in space does just fine.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80141479

A scientific explanation of how thermal energy is converted to kinetic energy by interaction with a vacuum is required. "Gas expanding in space does just fine"- what sort of science is that?

Exhaust gases expanding into space will warm the vacuum up a little. That's what thermal energy does.

Neil Armstrong and the bunch, ROFLMAO!

They are clowns who looked depressed instead of acting like men who actually accomplished something amazing.

Did they go on any kind of press tour, around the country, speaking at schools or colleges and where people would love to hear first hand accounts of what it was like to be there.

Of course not, because they NEVER WENT.

Then you get certain clowns in here (names withheld) who keep on defending that we went to the Moon and other crap about space. That's their M.O., one trick ponies, perfect for GLP.

You understand they didn't do the press briefing until they had spent a month in quarantine, right? I wouldn't describe them as depressed, just professional. A month in isolation away from their families even after returning is plenty of time for the adrenaline to wear off.

Re: All you Flat Earthers & No ROCKET in space people. Nasa Live Stream - Earth From Space : Live Views from the ISS
They wanted to bring about the myth of space but there was one dilemma. Rockets can’t work in a vacuum or low atmosphere. So to answer the question as to why the rocket always ends up going sideways and disappears from view moving horizontally instead of vertically into space, they created a sphere earth and orbit model. They tell us that the most efficient way is to send a rocket into space by getting it into orbit and the the rocket must move horizontally. People ate it up.

You will never see an unedited video of a rocket going into space. They all disappear horizontally

In order to have a pressure differential between space and earth, there would need to be a solid barrier.

With their narrative...there is none.

You cannot have the vacuum of space next to a pressurized atmosphere.
The vacuum would deplete our atmosphere and equalize pressure.

A space suit would be blown up tight like a balloon to the point one could not move.

Air conditioning is not possible in space. 25 years doing hvac here.

Astro, keep whackin' 'em!

We are facing several threats on the intellectual battlefield:

1. Mental patients who dream up crazy scenarios such as "balloons" when they can clearly see sats going overhead.

2. Incredibly stupid folks who absolutely cannot grasp real science. They confuse things like Newton's Laws with the politicized "science" of the vaccines which are heavily influenced by industry profits. If you cannot prove it with repeatable data, it is not science.

3. Trolls who obviously work for the fedgov, contractors, or even enemy nations. They want the populace dumbed down and confused to the point of catatonic indecision. If people believe in NOTHING, then they will be easier to control.

My bet is that the majority are in the last group. GLP is under active info warfare attack.

Like we used to say in plebe math, "Intuitively obvious to the casual observer".

Go back to HVAC school.

Of course, cooling the air in a spacecraft is possible.

You never noticed the huge radiators on the ISS? The heat RADIATES from the coolant tubes out into space the same way that solar radiation crosses 93 million miles of near vacuum to reach Earth.

You do NOT require a medium such as air to dump excess heat. Your AC is a type of heat pump to move thermal energy from one area to another.

BTW, I took thermodynamics and fluid mechanics as required courses at the Military Academy over 50 years ago. I cannot do the calculus anymore since I have not used it in a long time.

But, the important thing is to understand basic principles such as Boyle's Law.
