Re: Got the HR letter re:OSHA mandate this morning. Curious about how this is playing out for others.
Regarding the testing options (for people who will submit to weekly tests)- are they requiring vaxxed people at your place of employment to get tested every week, too? After all, THEY'RE the ones who are getting sick in droves.

Also, if your test comes up positive, do they require you to stay home and if so, will they pay you your salary while recovering?

Be VERY careful with any legal agreement you enter into with these people. They will NEVER bow down to you or make it easy for you. That's not their mission or concern.

READ THE SMALL PRINT BEFORE YOU SIGN. These monsters will try to con you in one way or another.

I just heard that some hospitals in NY are now requiring their vaxxed employees (who test positive for covid), to STILL come in and work even if they're showing mild symptoms!

They're planning to place the sick employees in the covid ward and shift others around to different wards because of staff shortages.

These monsters will NEVER stop moving the goal posts and will lie to your face in order to get as much as possible out of you.

Be careful.

Go woke. Go broke.

The problem has to impact everyone before they care.

Let them try to staff places that make them their big $$$$ and see how it goes then.

They waited 'til the very last minute to send us the vaccination attestment form.

I remain unvaxxed, as does one other team member on a team of 6.

My company is great. I love it there. They are so good to their employees.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell I'd get the shot.

I have a feeling they will go out of their way to make sure they retain everyone they can, regardless of status.

I'm unclear as to how this applies to remote employees, because I'm practically remote as it is. I have an office, but I only go in once or twice a week.

I might be willing to get regular tests, as I think that they will go out of their way to make that convenient, perhaps on-site testing.

I'm a software developer and never have a problem finding jobs - recruiters find them for me ... and I'm not at all worried about a layoff if it comes to that. In my state you can collect unemployment insurance even if fired for cause.

So however it plays out I'll be fine.

I'd love to hear about others' experience.

I can't wait to see what happens February 9, which is the deadline to enforce the mandate.
 Quoting: SugarSand

I work IT as well for a credit union. We are going to be mandatory testing (not mandatory vaccination) at our expense. They're hoping to buy tests in bulk to make it cheaper per test. Our HR dept is working things out with an attorney to verify they can test onsite in our HR dept.
 Quoting: 2k3Mach

Mandatory testing MAKES ABSOLUTELY ZERO SENSE.

mRNA jabbed can get COVID and spread COVID at the same rate as unjabbed.

Also, if you get tested on Monday morning, and it's negative, then you go to lunch and get infected and come back to the office, then what fucking good is a test?

The test is bullshit to begin with, but let's assume it's accurate for the sake of conversation...

The test only tells you you're negative AT THAT MOMENT IN TIME, not 5 minutes later, not 4 hours later, not 2 days later....

You won't have long to wait.

Farmers are next.

If you in any way sell, buy, or benefit (directly or indirectly) from ANY government (state/federal) assistance/subsidy, then your mandate is currently scheduled for April/May timeframe regardless of company size.

If the Supreme Court doesn't strike this unconstitutional bullshit down, then they'll make more announcements in the coming 1-2 months about it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78549416

Exactly!!

Getting past OSHA and requiring employees everywhere to submit to this Totalitarian nonsense, is probably one of THEIR biggest hurdles to get past.

Once they are successful at requiring people to submit to all of their rules in order to keep their jobs, they will move on to other areas like grocery shopping, banking, moving around freely, etc. The basics of life.

None of those things will be yours UNLESS you're vaxxed.

Again, some people don't care if their govt tells them what to think, say, do.

But many of us still DO care and can see where this is all going.

There needs to be a line, and we need to draw it.

There are loop holes, I think, depending on how cool your boss and chain of command are.

I really want to read the regulations.

What about states that already outlawed mandates? What about companies with operations in different states? What about remote workers? What about subsidiaries smaller than 100? etc.

I'm confident my company will bend over backward to try to accommodate everyone, but it's unclear what that will actually look like.

Religious exemptions must be at the employer's discretion, right?
 Quoting: SugarSand

Yes, Religious Exemptions are given or denied by the company.

This is how you will know whether or not you work for an evil company. What reason does a company have to deny a Religious Exemption other than hating freedom?

If all companies approved a Religious Exemption for everyone that wanted it, this shit would be stopped overnight. It would end all bullshit, vaxxed or unvaxxed would no longer matter and everything would be "compliant".
 Quoting: Boiling Frog

Please don't confuse words.

There is no "denial" or "approval" under the LAW. These are terms being issued by employers to gaslight you into think it some kind of employer discretion.

The actual terms are "accommodation made" or "cannot make accommodation due to undue hardship".

Please someone explain to me how if you have worked vax free during this entire pandemic, how now all of a sudden your unvaccinated status creates an "undue hardship"?

You can't. They can't.

Understand the law. Understand your rights.

You were "essential" before and now suddenly "unclean and a problem"?
 Quoting: TrufSerumX

In right to work States, there is no contract and neither party is bound. Meaning employees can walk at any time and employers can separate employees at any time for any reason.

That is the law.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31591937

This is NOT the law. The Law allows for employers to terminate employees at any time for MOST reasons, but not ALL reasons. The civil rights act of 1974 forbids an employer from terminating an employee on the basis of race, sex, religion, etc. The company needs to accomodate someone's religious beliefs if it would not cause the company any undue burden or harm. The exact standard is a de minimis standard.

Also, NEVER do these three things:

1) wear a mask
2) take a test
3) get a vaccine

All three are dangerous.

I think they put something in/on the masks.

I think they put something in/on the testing device.

The vaccine is the vaccine. Avoid it like the plague.

If you can be tested instead of vaxxed what's the problem? So there's a work around and you don't have to be vaxxed. Is there any proof testing is dangerous besides conspiracy forums?
 Quoting: NDFarm

The problem with testing is that A) it only is for the unvaccinated and B) it's at the cost of the employee.

The science should dictate what the rational policy should be. It should be based on what we 'know' not what we 'believe'.

We know that both vaccinated and unvaccinated can pass this virus on. We know that both can be infected. We 'believe' that the unvaccinated get hit a lot harder than the vaccinated ( conflicting data points here ).

If there's going to be a test policy to work, then everyone should test. If there's going to be a mask policy at work then everyone should wear one. I personally don't believe in a mask policy though. The data suggests that it doesn't do jack.

We should not be segregating into two groups of people; the 'clean' and 'unclean'.

Only five states will let you collect unemployment if you're fired for not taking the "vaccine":

1. Texas
2. Iowa
3. Tennessee
4. Florida
5. Kansas.

If you're not in one of those, no unemployment compensation.

All of these corporations will drop this vaccine horseshit like a hot potato on Feb 09th after SCOTUS rules against the mandates.

Why? Because it is ILLEGAL to force somebody into an experimental medical procedure AND they are going to be assuming 100% liability even if it is ruled legal.

The liability shield on those vaccines ONLY applies toward the manufacturers and US Government.

I lost my software engineering job of 16.5 years (23 years in industry) on Nov. 1st for not getting vaccinated. I was the only one on my team not vaccinated.

We all had been working remote for over 2 years. Some of the other engineers on other teams that I was friends with tried the religious exemptions; they got denied and put on indefinite unpaid leave. 4 weeks into the leave they got termination letters from HR. They also don't get unemployment. I get it because it was considered I was not complying to company policy (to be vaccinated.)

I have not had any luck finding a new job as in some interviews they pop the vaxx question and I say "No." I am now looking for anything as I am burning through savings money fast.

I had expensive tastes like owning Maserati's etc. I was making OK money; way over 6 figures with all bennies including a pension.

Selling Maserati's, Alfa Romeo Stelvio maybe and a rare collector truck. I have lots of Gold as well but won't sell that just yet.

I stand up to tyranny as I am a Gulf war combat veteran and hate being blackmailed into something I don't want that stands against freedom. I didn't even want to attest to the vaxx question at my company; they had an HR Nazi meet with me and twist my arm. In the end, the day I got terminated I told them I had each of their names on a list for a future Nuremberg 2 trial. I told them I will volunteer my IT skills for free to bring these people to justice. I am sure they lost sleep over that which is what I intended.

Re: Got the HR letter re:OSHA mandate this morning. Curious about how this is playing out for others.
They waited 'til the very last minute to send us the vaccination attestment form.

I remain unvaxxed, as does one other team member on a team of 6.

My company is great. I love it there. They are so good to their employees.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell I'd get the shot.

Re: Got the HR letter re:OSHA mandate this morning. Curious about how this is playing out for others.
My husband starting February 9 has to test weekly
Since he is unvaxxed he now has to wear a mask.

I am not sure what we will do if the OSHA mandate is upheld by the SC
Trying to find out if his company will accept Religious Exemption
Please pray for our family
 Quoting: SoonerMagic

I don't think the religious waiver will hold up with the testing option, but the good news is that the testing option is not what they are arguing about. the testing option will stay. Luckily my company is going to pay for it they are saying

...

These tests are dangerous
 Quoting: 442

Let me guess. You know they are dangerous because you read it on the internet, so it must be true.
 Quoting: NDFarm

We KNOW they're dangerous because we have a functioning brain and we have GOD-GIVEN DISCERNMENT (something you don't have).

The same group of degenerates that are pushing the vaccine/testing/masks/lockdowns are the ones that:

1) tell us gender is fluid
2) take away our guns
3) tell us diversity is our strength
4) tell us that Biden won the election
5) run the Satanic, lying MSM media
6) promote degeneracy 24/7
7) tell us that whites are evil
8) tell us that Christianity is outdated/dangerous

AND MORE...

You're telling me that we should trust these people and their tests?

Are you fucking retarded?

If a dirty crackhead pops out from around a corner with a bowl of soup, you're telling me you'd start slurping it up?

ARE...YOU...FUCKING...RETARDED?

Answer: No, you're just a Satanic shill.

Burn in Hell, demon.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1308559

Quite the rant but still where's any proof that testing is dangerous? I'll wait.

Where's the proof that anyone has died from covid?

I'll wait.

I have a medical exemption. But my job will probably make me test weekly. I have no idea what is at the end of the swab. Research shows terrible contaminates and the ability to stealth vaxx this way as well. We are truely at the end here.
