That is kind of the sad truth about 99% of the meats you buy at the store now. they are laden with chemicals, preservatives, artificial coloring, (even some flavor enhancers with some), artificial hormone injections etc etc. meaning for the argument that meats are more natural than the alternative meat products out there, You're kind of fooling yourself if you really think that. Maybe meats that are hunted in the wild and cured naturally perhaps, but even then.. What people are not aware of is chronic wasting disease aka PRIONS are a real phenomenon that is seeming to sweep through nearly all animals in the wild and farmed now. these prions basically get transferred to us as well and apparently nothing stops this from happening. so, while I do get the arguments meat eaters make (believe me I get it) there are fortunately or unfortunately (depending on your preferences here) a lot of issues people remain ignorant of when it comes to consuming today's animal products and meats.
