Yes, moderation...I did have a thread in the members forum where I noticed weird leg 'pings' when i took my gap...which was bout a week. But that was all I noticed. Twitches/pings/quirks. If that is the 'come down' bring it on..I've dealt with worse. The worst actually was a DMX junkie...she scared me enough times to almost call for back up. That is horrid shit. I'll poke about for a similar Canuck site.

it was a horrible experience.. and I decided at the time when I had to MOVE.. unpack.. cut the morphine because I was not going to deal with the new medical regime in pain management... and during 3 weeks trying to treat my diabetes and get my insulin production going.. using just juice in water.. a juicing fast so to speak.. and some other things all at once and get it over with.. it was harsh.

and all that time I was working here on GLP and with my own organization.

I got involved in my new community right away because this community has a great community center with many activities. I joined with a few weeks the activity planning committee and meeting new people like crazy.. it was in a way.. the starting of a new life . Being "busy" helps.

I still have pain but I have different ways of dealing and I learned just how much pain high blood sugar causes and I can regulate that now that i KNOW. exercise and shot of insulin.. .not a morphine pill. I have exactly 2 morphine left .. I had 3 for some unexpected extreme pain event. I had mone months ago in the night and took one of them. Leaving 2.

And I discovered that something called fever few was growing in my yard and looked that up and it is anti inflammatory and Put leaves in tea or coffee sometimes.

I read a few days ago the flowers can be used and are stronger and a bit different.. waiting on the flowers now.. they are starting to bud. Very pretty little plants on top of that. I will dry some for winter if we have winter this year.

I use Kratom in pill form. Two pills = 1 gram.

It is great for pain and also for mental clarity.

I don't take it on a daily basis, I just take it when my pain is causing issues and I take it when I haven't had quality/enough sleep. I will take two around 9am and possibly another two caps around 2pm. That gets me through the day and the residual pain relief caries into the night. Amazing stuff!

I would research my sources and buy from distributors that say they perform lab tests for quality and make sure they are members of a formal Kratom association. At least that should give you the warm and fuzzies more so than a company that just has a website to sell product.

Also, a similar product that has some great pain relief and sleep benefits is KAVA KAVA. It is legal and like Kratum, people (some doctors and pharmaceuticals) knock it, claim it is dangerous yada, yada..

Let's get a couple of things straight here:

Almost anything in excess can cause health issues, even death.

Any synthetic product like Tylenol and Advil, cholesterol meds, heart meds --all of it WILL damage your liver over time if you take those products regularly.

I'll use Kratom or KAVA KAVA over the man-made products, period.

A harsher medication to get off many years ago was ... maybe 22 or so years ago... was Klonopin.. I had been put on it for serve restless legs... I don't recall the dose now.. but I took 3 every night before bed. for probably close to 3 years.

the reason I came off Klonopin is that my doctor was out of town for a few weeks and a substitute lady doc was taking his place and she was horrified at the klonopin use for restless legs.. she was my angel that day... and sent to me an interesting specialist at the University of colorado medical center. They found my magnesium deficiency issue and since that worked so well I of course wanted off the Klonopin.

I have councelled many HERE over the years on how in hell do you get off Klonopin.. trying cold turkey was horrid and undoable from seizures and well more.. so I went to my doctor who had put me on that stuff... my daughter drove me I was such a mess.. and he said to back on it.. and come off slow.

so I did and I followed the method in which my sister in law used to stop smoking..

I went back on m 3 for a few days until I felt normal again.. and then for a week.. I took 2 3/4 a day.. then 2 1/2 and so forth.. I was able after a couple weeks to drop the dose every few days instead of a week.. and it took more than 3 months before I took my last 1/4 tablet but it worked.

That is still my advice and I did exactly the same thing with my morphine.. but I had increasing pain.. and then some bedtime seizures where I took just 1/4 of my low dose morphine at bedtime and after a few weeks those stopped by themselves.

I thought about trying Kratom since I’m in a state that prohibits cannabis. Coffee helps.
What helps most is Delta 8. Of course that’s not a stimulant but if what you’re trying to do is take your mind off drinking it works some for sure because it really works.

it has some effect on the medication used for the blood pressure and I don't recall which medication it is not compatible with.
