I could see it if it was just a citizen with a gun hoping to help in some way, perhaps. It would be a time to feel protective and concerned, not for political statements. Of course there will be the leftist anti-gun BS, but at this point, people from that community should just be concerned and worried.

That was my first thought. In 2003, one dumbass friend hit another friend and myself with some #6 Shot and were walking around hammered drunk the same night. It was so insignificant, I don't even consider myself as being shot.

I got hit with a damn blowdart that did way more damage.

Probably not... students in parts of the school did not know what was going on... the fire alarms were not set off until well after the shooting started but the students thought it was a drill because they were on the other side of the school.

An average 12 gauge hunting shotgun holds 5 rounds, just 3 rounds if the plug is installed for migratory birds.

Off the shelf tactical shotguns generally hold 8 rounds in the magazine tube plus one in the chamber.
Magazine tube extensions can be added to hold more rounds but since the rounds are stacked in a line, the shotgun gets longer and more unwieldy, and definitely harder to conceal in anything.

There are shotguns with detachable magazine boxes that can hold 15 or more rounds. These shotguns are usually less reliable due to the box magazines, but are usually semi-auto so faster shots than a pump action.

Remington 870 just came out with a modification to add detachable box magazines to their 870 pump action shotgun. The joke was that even Remington can make a pump action unreliable, because of the box magazine.

So if there were 16 gun shots, that would mean the shooter would have to reload completely if it held a full 8 rounds.

Reloading a shotgun is very slow and fumbly, if you're not a 3 gun competitor and have a lot of practice. Sure Keith Garcia, Jerry Miculek and other phenom competitive shooters can reload and shoot very fast. But a high school student to be able to reload under stress would be very difficult and slow.

You dont need any background check or anything for a shot gun, correct? You can walk into Walmart and walk out with one?

pump action would hold around 8 in the tube? asking, not sure, do they make a pump that accepts a magazine? I know semi-auto shotguns do and I know you can upgrade your tube but what is the max cap. of a pump SG? 10?
