I was disappointed. It was really excited to see the old show on again, especially since I loved the X-files from the beginning. However, it has become another method to trash conservatives. I love the X-files. I wish the new episodes weren’t so politically motivated.

Stop it. Why is everyone so infatuated with seeing what they want? "Liberals" were trashed and O'Malley was portrayed as a fringe "conservative"..it went both ways. Man, fucking antiquated ways of thinking, libs and cons...sheesh.

edit** And for God's sake, it isn't like the show did some intense political 180, the characters have been portrayed as very middle ofthe road politically. The show came out at the height of the PC push in the early 90's and has retained a lot of it's fanbase by avoiding(for the most part) party based politics. Liberal and conservative are HUGE freaking buzzwords among the conspiracy community (haven't you noticed) so it shouldn't come a a shock that they are thrown around a little bit.

Now if we could just figure out why now... why not 5 years ago or 5 from now. We could wrap this up nice and neat with a bow on top.

Maybe we already know the answer.

Carter is an OG conspiracy theorist... And I bet a lot of people give him unsolicited information even after all these years.

Re: What's your opinion of the X-Files mini-series premiere?
Other than showing a scene at the beginning with Ovomit, which came on without any warning and I unfortunately caught a glimpse of him before I could turn away, and then Mulder acting like a liberal and totally shocked and clueless at what Joel McHale was telling him when they first met because he thought that McHale was a loser, crazy conservative, and I'm thinking why do the libs have to RUIN EVERYTHING, even one of my favorite characters and shows, I liked it a lot!

At times it did seem rushed, maybe it's because they have so few episodes to fit a LOT of stuff. Mulder came to his big revelation with so much certainty way too quickly. But the show was interesting and suspenseful.

I missed the old chemistry between Mulder and Scully. It was there somewhat, but it's been a long time It's only the first show, so hopefully it will come back.

At first I was shocked that they would put all of this "out there". Then I realized that this is being done in order to DISCREDIT these conspiracy facts. After all, now if you were to bring all this up in polite conversation, most unaware people would ridicule you and say that you're an idiot for believing make-believe stories from a TV show. Anyone agree?

Are TPTB concerned that too much information will be disseminated to the general public?
 Quoting: Wolf 1776

TPTB are not interested in X-Files leaks. X-Files is the tip of the iceberg when compared to the tsumani data dump of disclosure information that the Secret Space Program (SSP) white hats, et al, are getting ready to release to the world's population.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, do a search for "Corey Goode". Goode is a SSP whistle blower and is coming out with a ton of disclosure-related information:

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)] (starts at 1 hour 31 minutes)

Among other things, he's reporting that a SSP coalition of white hats has been formed and is getting ready to orchestrate the data dump of all data dumps: massive, no-holds-barred disclosure of every level of the secret government operations including names of tens of thousands of individuals who have been part of the deception, descriptions of the various breakaway groups, descriptions of interdimensional space travel technology, free energy technology, ET civilizations we've connected with, etc.

Are TPTB worried about X-Files? No way. What keeps them up at night is this massive data dump (aka: DISCLOSURE) that i'm guessing could well happen this year.

Wake up. Be well. Thrive.
