Re: What's your opinion of the X-Files mini-series premiere?
I was disappointed. It was really excited to see the old show on again, especially since I loved the X-files from the beginning. However, it has become another method to trash conservatives. I love the X-files. I wish the new episodes weren’t so politically motivated.

Thank you! In the opening 10 minutes we were treated to a smiling Barack Obama who apparently is not involved with the global takeover, but W is, as he urges consumers to consume and become addicted to material things...

Poor Dana, her skin is stretched so tightly over her face she found it difficult talk much less smile.

Mulder look like Manhattan homeless guy searching for a bed in a shelter...

Not impressed at all.

Yeah if you noticed the lighting was especially important on Scully close ups.
I remember during the original series when all my office girls(ahem, administrators) had to be redheads with a Scully hairstyle. :)

Outstanding. Never watched the classic episodes.

A grandson got me the whole show on blu ray......The X-Files: The Collector's Set....watching it now....but I am told there is a movie in-between one of the seasons.....any help with this would be........Outstanding
 Quoting: The Old Timer

X-files Fight the Future. Watch it after season 5. The first movie is great!

There is also a second film, after season 9, but it's not important to the whole mythology and sort of written like awful fanfiction. Not reccommended.

Re: What's your opinion of the X-Files mini-series premiere?
I think 'they' are changing strategy now - this stuff can't be hidden anymore so it gets revealed in a fictional TV show. They also lump it all in together - 9/11, Roswell, aliens, free energy, shadow government etc. So now anyone trying to talk about those topics immediately gets dismissed as someone who just watches too much X Files.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70491234

For those of us old enough, that is what the original series did too. Lol at ya'll for looking to the one-eyed monster for truth.

Re: What's your opinion of the X-Files mini-series premiere?
The acting and dialog seemed strained, not convincing, not very fluid. Looked like a high end public cable access production. Previous series and movie continuity errors such as Fox apparently was not moved by the UFO in his Antarctic rescue of Scully. Continuity and consistent story dialog dismal. Snow turned this into a blizzard. Next!

That is just true X-Files acting and dialogue. It always sounded a bit strained and sometimes flat. It is done on purpose.

One of the best pieces of horror fiction ever aired.

I was off on some international adventure and my ex-wife watched it alone.

Called me and asked when I was coming home, because this X-Files had just freaked her right the fuck out, and she was locking all the doors and windows etc.

She was still freaked out a week later.
