I've never thrown an axe I might kill someone or be a pro at it not sure I want to find out. That's really cool though I ended up being good at archery with very little practice. I haven't in so long though but if I needed to shoot something I could do it I bet. Quoting: Ricky M Egyptians referred to Nubia as "Ta-Seti," or "The Land of the Bow," since the Nubians were known to be expert archers, and by the 16th Century BC Egyptians were using the composite bow in warfare. Deities and heroes in several mythologies are described as archers, including the Greek Artemis and Apollo, the Roman Diana and Cupid, the Germanic Agilaz, continuing in legends like those of Wilhelm Tell, Palnetoke, or Robin Hood. Armenian Hayk and Babylonian Marduk, Indian Karna (also known as Radheya/son of Radha), Abhimanyu, Eklavya, Arjuna, Bhishma, Drona, Rama, and Shiva were known for their shooting skills. The famous archery competition of hitting the eye of a rotating fish while watching its reflection in the water bowl was one of the many archery skills depicted in the Mahabharata. Persian Arash was a famous archer. Earlier Greek representations of Heracles normally depict him as an archer. [link to en.m.wikipedia.org (secure)] You’d be surprised how an axe isn’t very lethal compared to many other weapons. It’s messy I’d imagine. I like archery too. I think because of the morning star info of incoming cataclysmic, like you said aerial force is hard to protect from surface. Which is thunder territory. The water snake and thunder bird keeps each in balance for surface life. As said in flood stories the birds stopped the floods of the water serpents and vice versa. In the North Canaanite story of Aqhat,[4] the protagonist Aqhat son of the judge Danel (Dn'il) is given a wonderful bow and arrows which was created for ‘Anat by the craftsman god Kothar-wa-Khasis but which was given to Danel for his infant son as a gift. When Aqhat grew to be a young man, the goddess ‘Anat tried to buy the bow from Aqhat, offering even immortality, but Aqhat refused all offers, calling her a liar because old age and death are the lot of all men. He then added to this insult by asking 'what would a woman do with a bow?' Like Inanna in the Epic of Gilgamesh, ‘Anat complained to El and threatened El himself if he did not allow her to take vengeance on Aqhat. El conceded. ‘Anat launched her attendant Yatpan in hawk form against Aqhat to knock the breath out of him and to steal the bow back. The name of Anat-her, a shadowy Egyptian ruler of this time, is derived from "Anat". She is sometimes called "Queen of Heaven". Her iconography varies. She is usually shown carrying one or more weapons. In the New Kingdom Ramesses II made ‘Anat his personal guardian in battle and enlarged Anat's temple in Pi-Ramesses. Ramesses named his daughter (whom he later married) Bint-Anat 'Daughter of Anat'. His dog appears in a carving in Beit el Wali temple with the name "Anat-in-vigor" and one of his horses was named ‘Ana-herte 'Anat-is-satisfied'. In Akkadian, the form one would expect Anat to take would be Antu, earlier Antum. This would also be the normal feminine form that would be taken by Anu, the Akkadian form of An 'Sky', the Sumerian god of heaven. Antu appears in Akkadian texts mostly as a rather colorless consort of Anu, the mother of Ishtar in the Gilgamesh story. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] |

That first morning after the incident, I was outside on the front deck smoking trying to get a grip on what happened the night before.. I was the only one awake. The second A*** opened the door and looked at me, this wind like I had never seen, hit him and blew him back into the house. He was not small guy. He's big. I was feet away and the wind didn't touch me. He looked at me shocked, and walked down the stairs and out to his car. The rain and wind battering him. Then he left without a word. I cried when Charlotte died. :( So like, as a redhead. Apparently we produce our own Vit D. Or are likely the most deficient due to our sensitivity and staying out of the sun. Can you believe some people are actually allergic to the sun? What a bunch of vampires! I make it my mission these days to get out in the sun for at least 30 minutes every other day. And I will usually go for my walks when the sun is setting. Still high enough that I'm getting exposure. IKR? Redheads also need more anesthesia to respond the same way. Last time I was put under for reoccurring stomach issues, they told my mom they need 3x the amount as usual, to knock me out. Then they couldn't wake me up. :P I think what it was that sudden led to my epiphany was thinking of the parts of my skin, that hadn't seen sun really ever. Anything that can be covered by shorts and tank top IOW. Starting with the backs of my legs made sense and I only had that half of my body in the sun. The shade/heat cooperated thankfully. Been mild Summer for Oregon. Might have turned on the air conditioner 6 times total. You have green eyes too. Don't you? Myself, my brother, and my dad, all do. My mom's eyes are blue.
