It's free and only takes a second. If you have time, read some of the "Rescued Animal Stories". They will warm your heart. [link to www.theanimalrescuesite.com] |

Quoting: thoughtcrime 1188361[link to www.theanimalrescuesite.com] I used to have a bunch of those bookmarked and click on them daily. Thanks for the link. I'll have to hunt up some more (rain forest animals, sea animals etc). Personal responsibility - try it sometime. Quit blaming others for your bad choices. Consequences happen. :enaid11: |

Quoting: RPRExcellent! If I win the lottery, I'd buy a farm and rescue a bunch. As it is - I can't rescue any more. Although if I pressured my hubs - he would let me. But damn - it is hard to do a hurricane evac with lots of animals. Last Edited by Enaid on 12/08/2010 08:43 AM Personal responsibility - try it sometime. Quit blaming others for your bad choices. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1188369 Germany 12/08/2010 08:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Remember the animals during the holidays. Quoting: EnaidBuy a bag of food and take it to a shelter. Or buy a box of kitty litter. Every little bit helps. Also most shelters can use any old, beat up sheets and towels. These animals can't help their situation. But YOU can. Please help the kittens and puppies. |

We're getting a saluki/whippet lurcher this time so a little bit smaller than our huge boy. |

Norwegian Lady User ID: 1188316 Norway 12/08/2010 08:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great thread, OP! This is what I've done for several years now: Instead of buying a lot of useless christmas gifts, I'm sending an amount of money to the local Animal Rescue. They are so grateful...! The first couple of years I wrote a nice letter to family and friends instead of these gifts - explaining why, but many didn't respond... I no longer get any christmas gifts from most of them, but that's totally ok - the one christmas card I receive from the Animal Rescue means so much more to me..! |
