In the 90s, PR got hit by a big hurricane. My biggest customer(navy) asked me to help with restoring any networking circuits that didnt come back up after the restoration of power. I went there for two weeks. The only people I saw working to fix things were Navy personnel and some US contractor like myself. No Puerto Ricans were working at all. When they kicked out the navy a while ago, I knew the next big hurricane would be disastrous. Guess what, It took months to get the power grid back up after Maria. They had to boat US personnel in to fix things. I doubt they learned anything from that. They will have to let another contract and boat/barg power trucks in from the US again.

This person whom writes this sub stack lives in Puerto Rico. He posted 6 hours ago, hasn’t mentioned the hurricane on his sub stack (yet.)

He’s lives on the beach possibly, his photos seem to indicate that. But he could be out of town or who knows...might not really live there at all right now.

If he does though, it could be a way to find out if there’s no power or internet as he posts everyday.
