Hurricane Fiona now bearing down on Dominican Republic! pg5 Its going to be ok. Pedoey Joey will conjure up 20 billion bucks and give it to them. And worry not, Ukraine will still get its monthly billions on time too. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80539874 Pres-o-denting is hard work - lots of signaturing to do in destroying your own country. Puerto Rico is part of the US, so they probably will get emergency disaster relief funds. Not part of the USA. They don’t pay taxes to the IRS, but they get our help From US taxpayers. Go figure. They are a territory of the USA and will most likely become a state someday, they don’t want that, and yes they do pay federal taxes and only get back a fraction of what they pay in, they are better off without us They wont become a state because the GOP wont vote for statehood because it would give the Democrats two more senators. |

And I Think the season will last until November! |

Under internal revenue code 933, Puerto Rico source income is excluded from US federal tax. Is part of the US...lol Are you kidding me? IDK if they pay taxes, but it's a US territory. |

Hurricane Fiona now bearing down on Dominican Republic! pg5 No it's not. I've given up on crazy conspiracies after 22yrs of listening to them and how they NEVER pan out as described by the crazies. Doom off!! Massive power outages and flooding aren't really Doom Off. But, they are also not proof of "weather wars", either, of course. |

Seas are a bit rough and we are getting rain off and on. If it gets bad I will try and post some videos or go live somehow if the onboard wifi holds up |

Hurricane Fiona now bearing down on Dominican Republic! pg5 I know a Porto Rican girl. She told me they've always flicked the switch to cut the power off when winds get up to a point, then it takes 24 hours for their fragile grid to boot up. We make a big deal about it here, the press makes it a blood bath, but it's how it's always been. People there hate it, but they know it. Don't trust the Hispanic crisis actors. |

Hurricane Fiona now bearing down on Dominican Republic! pg5 For what it's worth, I have a customer in Dorado. I just checked on his stuff. I was able to access the system so at least where he is, there is still power and internet. He does have a whole house generator, but his Claro Fiber Internet service is still working....I wouldn't think they have all that infrastructure on generators.... |
