If you had 50k would you do?

I have double that as profit from a house sale. 1st objective? Pay off ALL debt. Anything that is debt and not a mortgage needs to be gone. Car payments, CCs, all of it.

Buy nothing on credit that you can't pay off after clearing all other debt.

Home value will dip now but in 20 years will be higher than right now. So buying another house while rates are still at historical low to averages is worth it.

With anything left over, go with preps and crypto. Standard preps you can look up anywhere, stick with Ethereum over Bitcoin (it does more work for more people).

Keep some cash for a rainy day but not too much as it will just lose value.

Do something/buy something you want because you won't have likely have a time with that much available again.

50K is peanuts.

You can recover fast, now that you can make those payments every month, to yourself!

Plus, you corrected the equation to put yourself on the side that earns interest, instead of paying it...

I meant to include that if everything is solid and only interested people come, you have a high end thing.

Well I've got a lot of money. Much in investments, 260k in a savings account, 25k in cash bills, paid off property (1 home and 1 bug out cabin) and 2 vehicles, but I don't spend frivolously as I am very frugal. My bills are all paid off at the end of the month.

There will be no SHTF so your are wasting your money. It is however prudent to have 3 weeks of food and other preps in case of disaster.

But if I had only 50k I would put it in a cd.

Pay off student loans, become debt free, move to South America haha

If you can talk the bank manager into a no penalty for early withdraw, and use it as your emergency fund, that's a good way to get more interest than a savings or checking account...I have done that in the past..

Wait til november/December when crypto is 50-80% off. Bear market isn't over yet.
