A bunch of guys in my neighborhood started building large buggies. Bigger than a dune buggie but kind if the same idea. Taller roll bars so the driver can sit upright in them. Mud tires, lots of lights, sound great.

They're really really cool and would be great to have in a SHTF situation.

Buy more silver, I have plenty of guns, ammo, and storable foods.

Burn it - just to piss off as many losers as possible.

I'd hold it for a short time and when prices go down, I'd buy 50K of agricultural acerage. I've seen some ag land go for very little in my neck of the woods. I'd buy it and improve or lease it out. Ag land is going to be valuable in the future.

Housing... Either for a down payment, or to go in halves with someone to buy - to live in, or to invest.

It's nice to see money coming back into your pocket every month from an investment.

I have been looking at designs non stop for a few years, probably going to build it on an older Toyota Tundra, modified for serious off road, convert to a custom flatbed with extended fuel/water/propane tanks built in, with an expedition style truck camper
Im buying up components now, instant hot water tanks, solar panels/battery systems, composting toilet, etc etc making everything modular so i can pop it all out and use it elsewhere as needed
Probably pull a small trailer for extra supplies to build a more permanent camp if i can find a safe spot to hide out for awhile. Buying military surplus camo netting to help hide from drones and prying eyes

Do you have any debt?

Do you have an emergency fund?



If you are in good/ok shape financially, and can cover an emergency without using this 50k, and you have no debt/interest payments that could be eliminated with this money...

By future, you mean not sooner than 3-5 years, and won't be likely touch it for maybe 15-20+ years, then I recommend putting 25% ($12,500) into each of the four categories of mutual funds:

Growth

Growth and Income

Aggressive Growth

International

Have a broker earn your business by researching mutual funds in each of the listed categories above, with the criteria of only funds with a ten year minimum history of 10% or greater...

Choose the funds that meet the criteria in each category, and buy in with your four checks for $12,500

Hah, 50 grand really isn't all that much money to begin with. In ca. it wont be enough down to actually cover the property taxes and fair plan insurance. Let alone, turn a profit.

2028 should have you at 100k

2035 +13 years = 200k

and in 20 years you will have $400,000

First 3.5 years = 100k

7th year = 200k

10-11 th = 400k

14th year = 800k

by the 18th year, you have $1.6 million
